I brought my dog in for hot spots from allergies. They squeezed something into her mouth, drew…read moreblood, and gave her two injections without explaining anything or telling me what anything was. That was extremely frustrating. I will say, the doctor was nice, but there was no communication and it was overwhelming. They walked in with a metal tray of syringes without even seeing my dog yet, then just went at it and I had no idea what anything was. Then, they have a cat named Jake that apparently lives in the waiting room. My 3 yr old tried to pet him and the cat bit him. The older woman at the desk just said "well he's declawed". I said "the cat bit him". Her response was "yeah, he can be a little bipolar". She couldn't have cared less. A young nurse heard my son crying, came from the back, heard what happened, said "uh oh" and went to grab an antibacterial spray. She told me if it got red or swollen, to take him to urgent care. Said she was sorry about that, and that was it. First, if you know that a cat you keep out in the open & around the public is bipolar, maybe don't have him out there or at least have a sign posted asking people not to pet it. Second, I'm not sure why it's a good idea at all to have a free roaming cat in a waiting room at a vet office where dogs constantly come in. That seems to be asking for trouble & it's not a very thought-through action. This was my first visit here, coat $245, and I won't be returning. Come to find out, they didn't even treat her for what I came in for. I called about allergies, they did nothing for her allergies. Look at the pic of her from chewing herself up and tell me why no shot was given to help her allergies. No wonder they didn't actually tell me what they were giving her. Reply from Animal Care Hospital to my google review: Hi Heather, we're sorry you were dissatisfied with your visit and appreciate the opportunity to clarify several points from your review. Your appointment was scheduled for an annual exam, routine vaccinations, and evaluation of skin concerns. During the visit, the doctor and veterinary technician performed a full exam and explained the procedures being administered. These included rabies , DAPP+L (the two shots) and a Bordetella vaccination (oral) as well as a blood draw for a heartworm test, which is a standard and recommended screening. All medical supplies were brought into the room in a standard plastic container, not a metal tray. We strive to communicate clearly and encourage clients to ask questions at any time during their visit. Had there been any confusion or concerns regarding the care being provided, our team would have been happy to pause and address them in the moment. Regarding the incident in the lobby, our clinic cat was resting in his tower and was not roaming the waiting area. Staff did advise that he can be unpredictable, and when he growled, a verbal warning was given. Unfortunately, your child continued to attempt to pet him and was bitten. One of our veterinary technicians immediately cleaned the area with chlorhexidine scrub and advised putting triple antibiotic ointment on the area. The technician also advised you to keep an eye on the area and if it looked like it was getting more red to please visit urgent care. After the incident was over the technician apologized for what happened. Our clinic cat has lived at the hospital for nine years and is routinely secured upon request. Unfortunately he did and does give warning signals when he doesn't want to be bothered. We take safety seriously and addressed the situation promptly and appropriately. While we regret that your experience did not meet expectations, we stand by the care provided and wish you and your family the best moving forward. ***Here's what I added to my review after their infuriating response: I would like to clarify a few things since the Vet decided to respond with a slew of lies. 1.) The appointment was made because my dog was having allergies, had been treated for allergies in the past, and we needed to establish care at a Vet here to do the same. This was expressed when I called and when I arrived. She wasn't even treated for the allergies like I requested, and was given vaccines that were 100% brought in on a tray. Stop lying. 2.) There was NO prior warning given to us about the cat. There was NOBODY in the waiting room other than the lady at the counter who did not say a single word about his temperament, that he should be avoided, that he can be mean, or that he has bitten/been aggressive before until AFTER he bit my son. We will now be contacting animal control over an aggressive animal bite. If normal citizens get their animals taken away or put down over aggression, you will too. Stop lying to make yourselves look better. Take some ownership of the poor service you provided, the rudeness of your front desk staff.

I've called and requested my cats records 5 different time (they were part of Dr Randolph's records - as were my dogs - who apparently turned them over to Dr. Stubbs office when he retired). I have repeatedly been given the round at round and while the staff is usually cordial, today I spoke to a guy that was beyond rude. He had every exercise under the sun why he couldn't look for my records (I realize now it was 2 mins before closing so I'm sure THAT is why). I shouldn't have to make repeated calls over 2 months to get a copy of my vet records now I have a sick cat and going in blind to a vets office. Dr. Stubbs really needs to think about having the guy answering the phone doing do in the future.

4/9/25 The front office staff today was so rude and…read moredismissive. My husband took our dog for her checkup & shots and he asked before the appointment how much it would be. The receptionist ignored him and when he checked out the total was $280! He recently lost his job and said he could pay $140 and the rest later. He was told if you don't pay the remainder AND her boarding fees for Easter by Friday, we're cancelling her reservation! These people are rude and greedy. We've been going here a while and tried to overlook things but this is it! Never again. I do however HIGHLY RECOMMEND Animal Care Hospital in Long Beach!!!

I took my pup to Beatline Oaks for his yearly checkup today; really, it had only been six months…read moresince his last exam, but he was due for two vaccines and I had just exhausted his supply of heartworm medication. His previous medical had been handled by a different vet before I moved across state lines, so I made sure to get his full records from them, and brought them to his appointment. When I arrived, they weighed my pup, then took us to the exam room where I could fill out paperwork. I handed the nurse his records (including very clear shot records) and set about filling things out. After a bit, one of the nurses came in to say that my dog had never received the canine influenza vaccine, and asked if I wanted to get that today with a follow-up in three weeks. I was uncertain about her request (it seemed off) and declined for the time being. When they brought back his paperwork, I looked through it again, and pointed out that he had definitely received a shot for CIV previously, at which point the nurse ran off with the paperwork again. When she came back in, it was for the physical examination with the doctor (who seemed nice enough), and by the time the paperwork was brought back, I was already helping to soothe my pup, so it was placed off to the side and temporarily forgotten. They brought in the vaccines, said which was which, and as I was a bit focused on my dog, I didn't fully notice when they said they were giving him a rabies vaccination. You see, in the medical paperwork, it clearly stated that he received the 3 year rabies vaccination within the last year, and when I got home and reviewed the new paperwork, it said they gave him a new 1 year vacc. I freaked out a bit and did some research, leading me to find that there's not actually a difference in the formula or dosage, simply in the label on the bottle itself, so there was no actual risk, but I was terrified for a bit that he had been given too much. Speaking of research! While I was there, they strongly recommended ProHeart 6 to me. I asked the differences between that and his usual (HeartGard), and they said the only differences are that you only have to get it once every six months, and it's the same cost and totally easier! I declined for the time being, as I knew nothing about it, and they handed me a pamphlet to read. The pamphlet included a list of potential side effects, which I commented on. They assured me the only side effects are rare allergic reactions and it's definitely nothing to worry about. After I finished researching the rabies vacc (while at home), I decided to look into ProHeart 6. The first few articles I found were about how it was taken off the market in 2004 due to a large number of canine deaths from it. It was rereleased with strict requirements in 2008 - a certified vet had to administer the dose, an "informed consent" waiver had to be signed, and it was generally advised not to administer it alongside other vaccinations at the risk of severe adverse reactions. All of this would have been nice to know when it was offered, or at least when I directly asked. While nothing terrible happened today, I did still pay for an unnecessary vaccination, and if I were a bit more trusting, I might have put my dog in a potentially dangerous health situation. It's safe to say that I will absolutely not return to Beatline Oaks.

He is on a special diet and Faith feeds him just what I have in the frig for him. My chihuahua just loves Faith coming over to see him. He always has had some anxiety so having a regular sitter to come in makes the day much shorter for my baby. I'm never worried that she won't show up. She is always organized on her time and knows exactly when I need her. I did have two other sitters before Faith and specifically told them what I needed. When I arrived home they did not come in at the right times. This made it difficult for my dog to be on his regular schedule. I am so glad I found Faith and her love for animals. Could not do it without her. Bunny

A Pets Memory Funeral Home - This is the owners response to my post

A Pets Memory Funeral Home

(9 reviews)

Unfortunately, since Linda, the owner, decided to remove reviews off of her business page and block…read moreme completely, I was left no other choice than to post my review here, in hopes of saving others from having the same horrible experience as I did when I contacted her business, distraught and overcome with grief, the day that I lost my beloved 11 year old German Shepherd. I am attaching photos of her response to my review before she deleted it as well so that everyone can see who she truly is. My sweet beloved fur baby crossed the rainbow bridge on Tuesday. I messaged my vet and she recommended that I call A Pets Memory and said that they would come to my home and pick him up. At 2:33pm on Tuesday, sobbing and crying, I placed the call to them. I explained to the kind girl on the phone that my sweet baby had just passed away at my home and that I was referred to them and told that they would come and get him for me. She then asked me to hold for a minute so she could speak with "the boss" in hopes of seeing if there was anything that they could do to help me today because they closed at 3pm. She didn't physically place me on hold, she just set the phone down, so I could still hear the conversation between her and "the boss". As soon as she explained my situation, I hear "the boss" RUDELY say "WE CLOSE AT 3!". In other words, she wasn't willing to help me. The girl apologized and told me that they closed at 3pm and that they would not be able to come and get him today. She then asked me if there was any way that we could bring him there by 3pm. I said no ma'am, I live about 30 minutes away and I am waiting for my husband to get home so that he can have time with him and is able to tell him goodbye. She then asks me to hold on again and she tells "the boss" that I cannot get there by 3pm. I hear the boss angrily say "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT ME TO DO! I CAN'T PICK UP THAT DOG!" and repeats herself several times. The girl then tells me that I can call them back after 3pm and I will get their after-hours answering service and can ask to have someone meet at their location but I will have to pay an additional fee for someone to meet me "after-hours". She then asked me if I have a cold floor that I can put him on. Confused, I said I'm not sure what you mean by "cold floor". She said "do you have a tile floor that you can put him on overnight until we can get to him in the morning?" I said no ma'am we have vinyl plank flooring. They literally suggested that I leave my sweet, lifeless, fur baby, laying on a cold floor for 18+ hours, with another pet in the house. She then asked who my vet was and said that I can bring him there and they can pick him up from there in the morning. I told her who our vet was. The second she repeated my vets name out loud, "the boss" erupted in an angry outburst accusing my vet of sending ALL of their clients to another company, which had NOTHING to do with me or my situation but frustrated me to the point that I raised my voice and said "MAAM, THEY ARE WHO SENT ME TO YOU!" I told her I needed to talk to my husband would let her know what we decided to do. We made the choice to bring him to our vets office. I did not notify them of my decision nor did I give them my name or my pets name. Upon arrival to our vets office, I explained to them my experience with A Pets Memory. When I mentioned the girl talking to "the boss", our vet said oh that was Linda. I said who is Linda? She sweetly said that she is the owner. Then the receptionist tells us that Linda had already called up there and told them that they were coming to get my baby. At this point, Linda REALLY made feel like all of this is a money grab to her. In the end, we chose to send our beloved fur baby to another company as our baby deserved the BEST! Linda IS NOT suited to handle anyones beloved baby AT ALL. You are a pet crematory, compassion is VITAL to your business! People ONLY need your services when their pets pass away! I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone who is in need of their services.

I can't praise a Pets Memory enough. They were so kind and…read morehelpful, they were able to pick up our sweet girl from the clinic and return her to us the following day. I highly suggest their services.
