An absolutely wonderful experience. From the service to the food and the price!…read more Came here with three others for a nicer lunch. They do a set lunch menu for 20 euros. This included beer or wine, bottled water, bread and oil to start, and four courses including dessert. An additional bottle of wine is just 8 euros, very honest and fair of the restaurant! The menu has few options, so if you are very picky or have allergies, it would be wise to contact the restaurant beforehand. The place is nice. Not fancy or overdone, just simply well designed with some interesting elements. The sort of place where it seems to direct your focus solely to your table, allowing the food to command your full attention. The plates are explained in great detail as they come out. The bread was delicious!! Freshly baked, perfect chewy bite. Our next two courses were a quail dish and an asparagus soup topped with crispy prawns. For the mains, I got the leg of lamb that came with some veggies underneath. I also tried the other option which was a lighter take on fish and chips (minus the chips!). Everything was executed beautifully. Wonderful and interesting flavor combinations, perfect temperature, also perfect portions. I'm not entirely sure what the desserts were, but one was a chocolate dish with some passion fruit sorbet and the other was a cold fruit sorbet type thing...... oh I'm not describing it well. Both dishes were also incredibly creative and made with modern gastro techniques. I think coffees were also included in the price. Everyone in my party greatly enjoyed the lunch. We had two "foodies" and the other two more simple eaters who typically scoff at "pretentious food". However, they also really loved it since flavors were so on point. Food quality is also very high. For 20 euros, it is on the higher end of lunches, but I think it was completely worth the price. Highly recommend!!

As nice as this place looks and as busy as it gets, the meal was very underwhelming and the service…read morewas mediocre too. The portions - besides the paellas and the lamb shoulder - were smaller than expected. We ordered two paellas: seafood & meat and black ink. Both were meh, and the standard crisped bottom was missing. The rice in the seafood & meat one was undercooked. The black ink one didn't have any meat?? Or at least we weren't aware of any... The linguine also seemed meatless...until we were halfway through the dish. It was fairly bland and adding salt helped a little. The lamb shoulder, while it fell off the bone from the advertised 18 hours of cooking, also lacked flavor. The pork shoulder had only 4-5 pieces, and they were on the dryer side. The oxtail came in rectangular shape and it was more sweet than savory. The cod also lacked any oomph. The salmon was the only one that was decent it seemed. As, far as dessert...we had a crepe, chocolate lava cake, and cheesecake. The crepe was not quite your traditional as it was open faced. The chocolate cake and the cheesecake had an interesting consistency. They just weren't quite right. Overall, just don't. Don't get fooled by the decor and crowd! Don't get disappointed by wasting your calories!!

Though, we probably ordered a lot and I was very full after! All these dishes was recommended and selected by the local.. The sea urchin dish was the most interesting dish - to me I didn't taste much of the urchin.. it was very rich and creamy... The tinto verano was the highlight! the eggplant with honey was excellent! Environment Located on the top of the hill, or so it seems. It was quite the hike up. There is quite some parking available. The seating was great! I loved that it was like a house converted. We sit in the outside but it was enclosed. Very nice homey and garden like terrace seating. Niceness of the staff Very attentive and nice staff. Dollar It was on the expensive end I'd say. I didn't pay.. company cover Yes/No? Sure why not. Not sure i'd recommend someone to go out there way just for this though
