I totally didn't expect this place to be so busy , I had no idea it was $10 curry , naan and rice night . I just turned up and probably got the last table . Which went like this .
Me : Can I please have a table for 2 ?
Waiter : You can go there (pointing at the worst table right by the entrance , I suppose I could've been by the toilet door . So I guess it was ok .)
Me : sadly walks to table .
Regulars were getting told they should've made a booking .
We started with onion bhajis which said 4 pieces on the menu, but was presented as lots of little bits with a tamarind sauce . These were really nice , kinda like chickpea /onion chips .
I ordered the lamb bhuna and my friend went for the butter chicken , I was not expecting the heat from the lamb and was really surprised . The garlic naan was light and fluffy and freshly made .
Service was attentive , given the busyness of the place and apart from in my view getting the worst table actually turned into the best night . read more
