On our way back to town we couldn't resist stopping at this unique looking establishment. Afterall, there was a 30 plus foot long metal fabricated Spinosaurus staring down the cars passing by on US60. Behold, the wonders both inside and outside of this wonderfully unique establishment. We could have stayed and looked around for hours if we had the time. There were many fine examples of artistic metallurgy spread across the grounds of this fine establishment. After spending quite some time drooling over the wide variety of positively neat stuff outside, we made our way into the building. What a feast for the eyes! The custom and antique furniture was calling for the lotto gods to come to roost within my pocket book! Oh boy could I have a blast going on a never ending spending spree within this establishment. There was so much to look at and consider. Everything from beautiful jewelry, housing accessories, Fossils, semi precious stones and minerals, western style home furnishings and artifacts, one of a kind housewares and knick knacks abounded around every corner! We were even stunned to find a female hyena as part of some high quality accessibly priced authentic African items within one of the back rooms.What an interesting treat that section was. While we were inside we were expertly guided around by Claire. What a gracious and interesting woman she turned out to be! Claire added the ubiquitous icing on the cake for this experience. After buying some fossils and other knick knacks we parted ways, albeit temporarily, with this establishment. I'm going back with my son because I can't keep this gem of a store and experience just for myself! Make a special trip up to Quarter-Horse Rancho Antiques and you won't regret it!
