This is my new favorite restaurant in the quaint, seaside village of St. Tropez. I cannot believe that this restaurant has been here for six years and that I didn't try it until this past week. Whites and blues remind you that you are in the Cot d'azur. But, even though you're in the south of France, this restaurant offers some of the best Italian cuisine that I've had. Via one meal, you are transported and feel just like you're somewhere along the coast of Italy. Reservations are a must so I recommend making them as soon as you book your trip to St. Tropez. Service is lovely, patient and genuine. You'll also find the owner, Cristina, there making sure everything goes to her liking. We started with the most interesting appetizer of fried ricotta cheese on a bed of the creamiest burrata imaginable. We were practically licking the plate, this dish was so incredible. I noticed that they had trophie on the menu. A very unique pasta that I've only had in Portofino, Italy. Although their preparation had heavy cream and mushrooms, I asked if it could be done with pesto sauce, the way that I had it in Portofino. They were able to do this for me and it was absolutely phenomenal. For our main dish we shared the grilled calamari. It was the biggest calamari steak that I have ever seen. It was tender and had nice flavor. But the pasta and the appetizer were definitely the stars of the show. Tiramisu comes in a glass jar, and is creamy with a hint of espresso. We thoroughly enjoyed spooning this desert into our mouths. Overall, a lovely evening with fantastic food and wine in a beautiful setting. I cannot wait to go back next year.

The dessert pizzas are especially great. With raspberry and Grand Manier, or apple and rum or banana and rum. Fresh whipped cream is served with it! Very tasty.
