Warm, friendly, hilarious, and tolerant, and the cooks in the back were also eager to join in! It was so much fun just putting our order together! We ate it overlooking the bay, and it was AMAZING ! The mushy peas were darn good and the scraps (fried bits of batter) were exquisite - fried unhealthy and almost the best part of an otherwise truly forgettable meal. The staff were friendly and inefficient maybe because of the kitchen but I found no evidence of the great reputation I'd heard about the place. Marshalls is a gem, right in the middle of it all. It's simple. Fish, chips and a can of the soda/pop of your choice. By far my favorite fish in all of the shops that I've tried. HUGE portion of fish on top of a large pile of chips (fries) simply served in a basket. There's really not much else to say. Would I go back? I do. Every single visit.
