The batter is crisp all the way round and the chips are thick with lots of potato. It is not too greasy like many fish lots are and you do not get that soggy batter on the bottom of the fish. Pies, patties, fish, chips, sausage, cod bites, gravy, curry etc. They don't do pizzas, kebabs and burgers - so they can concentrate on cooking the food as it should be. Parking is a bit of a pain as it is on the corner of two roads next to a taxi company and a pub. But if you can find somewhere to park or even walk there then you will love the fish and chips.

The silver grid is a very popular fish and chip shop that also does a lunch time special which i particularly enjoy. their prices are quite cheap compared to some of their competitors near by but the quality does not suffer because of the price.
