It seems buying a condo in mammoth would not be so difficult, especially if one has bought and sold many homes before, but the market truly is a little different, and having a knowledgeable agent, who is also well connected and respected in the community is an absolute must. Gillian not only knows the individual complexes (and there are a LOT), but she also has a good relationship with agents, management companies, etc which become so resourceful when making the big decisions. We were living remote and not able to get out there for some viewings in person but she magically made us feel as if we were there and allowed us to close on our dream condo in mammoth...and probably not the last! There can be so many unknowns and surprises when buying in a little mountain town and having a person who respects that not everyone is rolling in with an unlimited second home budget is comforting and motivational! Can't recommend her enough be it for a small condo or a big home, old or new she will help make the dream come true in the best way possible! read more

We had our condo for sale with another agent. Gillain was the buyers agent. We called Gillain several times. She never had time to talk to us regarding the sale of our condo. She would always say," Have your agent call me, I don't have time." I just had a short question about the contents of our property, information for the buyer, which included transfer of cable, etc. She was was still,"too busy." She should have known that we could sell the contents of the condo for $1 which would not mandate the buyer pay the sales tax on the contents down the road. The County will be after that sales tax soon. It has happened to me personally. We hoped for a smooth transition, but with Gillain involved it made it very stressful. We hoped to refer the new buyers to our management service Grandwelcome ( which they did) but the agents balked at referring them. even though they had all 5* reviews. I was able to talk to the buyers after the sale referring them to contact Grandwelcome. I just googled them. The buyers obtained a contract with Grandwelcome and they even gave them our bookings down the road, even some 7 months later. Why Gillain would not want them to have booked rentals down the road just did not make any sense. Gillian was rude and unprofessional. We have had many real estate dealings in years past and have never been treated in such a manner. read more

Gillian is the kind of agent everyone dreams of having, yet never can seem to find. She's not pushy, yet is on top of everything. Professional, Personable, Organized and Patient! I had a particularly difficult situation in which 3 properties had to close in sync. She was so efficient, even though I was 6 hours away. All the paperwork, walk throughs and inspections were done on time. Everyone she recommended was highly rated and professional. She works with amazing people, and treats every transaction as if it was her own. From start to finish, Gillian went out of her way (way out of her way!) to help me sell one property and move to the other. I first met her when i was trying to walk to town in a sub zero snowstorm/ice. She pulled over and gave me a ride - i called every realtor when i decided to sell until i finally found her. The only crisis was on my end. I sent a package that got caught in the UPS/USPS loop. Since it was a piece of flooring needed ASAP, it was crucial that it got to Mammoth. Unfortunately, securing that particular piece of flooring was like finding a mars rock! I finally found it and sent it to the unit i sold. Somehow it never got there and was returned to me about 4 weeks later. Sent it USPS the 2nd time and there was another issue with it! The new owners were anxious (understandably) and we couldn't find the darn piece. Finally it showed up at the Post Office! At the time I was dealing with a family crisis and lost my temper with her on the phone. It was totally my fault and I still cannot believe I was so rude. She was very nice and sweet. I am probably the worst client she dealt with - yet she was overly kind and professional. Truly an outstanding agent and person. Gillian deserves more than 5 stars, as she is a rare gem in a community full of realtors! read more

Gillian Parrish was our realtor in the purchase of our first mammoth condo. She is a consummate professional. My husband has worked with several realtors and, from the start, he was pleasantly surprised and impressed with Gillian's receptivity and quick response to our requests for info. If we needed to see a place, within hours, Gillian would have gone to the condo, phone videoed, and sent us a full walk-through. Gillian was very knowledgeable about all things "condo" and Mammoth. She knew the reputation of many HOA's and could speak to benefits and disadvantages of each. If youre needing a realtor in Mammoth, I highly recommend Gillian Parrish. read more

Connecting with Gillian was just a brilliant stroke of luck. From our first phone call, we knew we had found a trusted partner in our hunt for a home in Mammoth. Not only is Gillian extremely professional and resourceful, she brings a valuable insider's perspective and deep knowledge of this unique market to every step of the process. With very little notice, and over Thanksgiving weekend, Gillian pulled off a tour of every available home in our price range in the Mammoth market. Then seamlessly, with professional calm and good humor, Gillian walked us through the offer process over Christmas! As a buyer, you want to know that your representative is working with YOUR best interest in mind. Gillian, through every word and action, made it clear that we were her first priority. We got the home we wanted, at a fair price. Gillian connected us with an amazing lender who specializes in the market... making the financial part of the transaction painless and streamlined. From our first meeting to the close of escrow Gillian delivered above and beyond care, communication and professionalism. We will never use anyone else. PS: We moved in during a pandemic and a snowstorm: We had wifi, all our services in place, and a spotless home... because Gillian takes her role seriously. You'd be lucky to work with her. read more

Let me start by saying that I met Gillian years before I ever imagined buying my first vacation home, and while we would meet in passing or run into each other at lodges, she always carried herself impeccably, came across as a very smart and diligent hard worker. Finally there came a point in my life where my successes granted me an opportunity to pursue more time in my favorite place, Mammoth Lakes. I called a couple realtors in the area from googling and found myself in a bit of a pit, found that they weren't helpful or responsive. I then came across Gillian's name, instantly recognizing it(the spelling obviously), I followed up with her and it was one of the smarter choices I've made. She had a hands on approach in making sure I got what I wanted from a house perspective, but also realized I didn't have time to do any leg work, so she took it upon herself to do everything during the search, purchase, and navigating any BS that came along during the absolute mess of paperwork. It was quick and painless, I trusted her so much that I actually bought my place sight unseen because she went to listings and shoot me videos and pictures, then later discussed on the phone what I liked and didn't care for. Years later I naturally went right back to Gillian when it was time to move on from that property and within a short time period she already found a buyer and we closed on time like clockwork. Its imperative to engage with clients on numerous levels, and Gillian literally nailed it on every level. There isn't a thing I would change about my purchase and subsequent sale, and no surprise that she always exceeded expectations because she's been in Mammoth for a long time, understands what it takes, and uses that to her advantage in making sure I was absolutely delighted along the way. read more

We had the best experience working with Gillian! She was great during the search process as she gave us a lot of options to consider that were all within the parameters of what we were looking for. Once we made a decision, the negotiation process was extremely smooth. We found a property much faster than we expected so she helped tremendously by recommending a lender that was also awesome to work with. We live 300 miles away, so really needed to rely on Gillian for anything that needed to be done locally and she totally delivered. Our escrow actually closed in less than 30 days! Gillian is an absolute rockstar. After some phone and email discussions, she was able to narrow in on exactly what we wanted in just 2 hours of seeing places with us. It was amazing. And then, when our offer didn't win for the first place we wanted, she dove in and turned over every stone until a great option came up which turned out to be even better than the original home. And since we weren't in town at that time due to COVID, she was able to work with us over video calls and do whatever was needed to make sure we could make an informed decision. I had such trust that she would steer us in the right direction and she absolutely did. We could not be happier with our new home or with our experience with Gillian! read more

Gillian helped my partner and I purchase a 1 bedroom condo in Mammoth. This was our first time through the home buying process and Gillian was very helpful walking us through everything. She listened to what we were looking for in a property and helped us end up with a place that we are very excited about. We really appreciated her knowledge of the different condo complexes in town and the local market. We came in from out of town for a weekend and Gillian showed us as many available properties as she could. While none of these places were the right one for us, after the weekend Gillian had a really good sense of what we wanted and was quick to let us know when a place that fit our needs came on the market and gave us a video tour. She helped us navigate the offer process and kept everything moving to close on time, even with a shorter closing period requested by the buyer. Throughout the whole process we felt that Gillian really had our backs. We would not hesitate to work with her again and would enthusiastically recommend her to a friend. read more
