Made a comment "what's does her school think" who care what her school thinks, this is my personal personal choice. She also recommended certain things for allergies, and was supposed to give me dental recommendations, but after her long lecture on what she thought I should be doing and I opt out she shut down and did not give me anything. I would recommend searching for a doctor who is actually going to do her job and help with the children, not get upset when you have your personal opinions. I'm unsure if this is a rule for the whole practice and will call to ask or her personal opinion, but I hope you do proper research on this doctor and I recommend a doctor who is going to not judge, and actually do her job instead of being pushy about what she thinks I should do. I will be doing extensive research on this and plan on making multiple complaints. I would not recommend because it clear she could be very unprofessional and careless about patients if you have a different opinion other than hers.

Instead, I had to wait well over 2 hours past my scheduled appointment time, excluding the 30 minutes in which I arrived early. Instead of booking appointments with an appropriate amount of patient to doctor ratios, they would rather squeeze every penny out of the day they can get. Then, once taken back, I am forced to share a room, and therefor personal information, with another patient (isn't this against HIPPA?) Once taken to an actual room with a doctor, they treated me with such condescension that I wasn't sure I would have any authority over my treatment, let alone if I should be allowed to go home since OBVIOUSLY I don't know anything about my own health. Also, don't plan on going in well read on your treatment, otherwise they'll just sit back and smirk thinking it's cute that you know how bodies work since you're actually working on your own doctorate in healthcare. And before you can even ask anything out of the way, they'll let you know that they're only willing to go "by the book" if that book is written by big pharma and paying them extra benefits. Definitely an unpleasant experience, with rude nurses and doctors - their only good workers seemed to be at the front desk. Changing my care to State of Franklin, where after two visits I definitely feel like more than a number or paycheck, and like my input and individual needs actually matter.

I'd expressed my concern of wanting to proceed until I'd consulted with a neurologist and I only used this office originally for the cheap next day X ray when no real doctors were able to get me in quickly. Turns out that because I did not agree to go forward and continue with my proposed treatment plan that what I was told and under the assumption was part of my "zero cost today consultation" was billed for $125 dollars. I called to pay my balance and express my concern that this felt like I was duped and I had to sign my agreement after the services were already done, though I did not actually want or need chiro work as I'm dealing with an AI issue and now moving out of state for treatment of that. Had I not been spoken to the way that Dr Michael just spoke to me I'd have paid my balance and gone on with my day but I feel that the attitude and blaming me for not understanding their procedure warranted writing this review. If you're not 100% certain you want or need to go forward with chiro work, be wary going forward with Integral wellness or you'll get yelled at for being confused by their procedure and have to pay anyway. Balance is paid, I wasn't seeking free work I couldn't afford, I wanted to explain my concern and was basically told "too bad, you got it wrong not us, now pay up" I hope you're extra $125 dollars is worth this 1* review.

We have a plan and are going to work that plan so I can feel even better. My husband has been seeing Dr Michael for nearly a year and his health has improved drastically! I never imagined he would feel this good. His neuropathy is gone. His diabetes is in hand. We can almost say it is completely reversed. Something his regular doctor said could never happen. Dr Michael personally greets everyone at the door, and even calls them by name. The environment is welcoming, clean and you are ALWAYS greeted with a happy staff. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as positive as I had hoped. During my appointment, I explained my symptoms to Dr. Duncan and he had me do a couple of exercises to assess my strength. However, I struggled with one of the exercises, and instead of offering support or understanding, Dr. Duncan's comment, "come on now, you can do this," felt dismissive. His comment was very unprofessional, and I am thinking "are you kidding me?" Additionally, Dr. Duncan recommended a procedure, but after how he handled my struggle with the exercise, I definitely didn't feel comfortable with him performing any medical procedure on me. I left the appointment feeling uncertain about the next steps. He didn't clearly explain why the procedure needed to be done twice or why it was required by the insurance company, which left me feeling confused and without a full understanding of my options. Even the X-ray he provided had unclear medical notes that I couldn't make sense of, and he didn't offer any explanation to help clarify them. Overall, I felt that Dr. Duncan lacked empathy and a proper bedside manner, which made the experience uncomfortable. I would have appreciated more detailed communication and professionalism. It's important for healthcare providers to listen to patients and clearly explain medical processes. I hope that future visits to Watauga Orthopedics are handled with more transparency and compassion. BTW I haven't received a survey asking about my experience, but I have received several emails regarding my co-pay. I had the great privilege of being a friend of one of the most respected Thoracic Surgeons in the country, dr. Joseph Wilson, in Palm Springs California. And dr. Wilson told me if I truly wanted to know what the best thing to do was, just ask the nurses that took care of the patients after the doctor got done working on them? What an interesting concept coming from a doctor, it may be one of the reasons he is so highly respected! What does this have to do with Johnson City Family Physicians? When I decided to leave California and the comfort of all my knowing doctors in that area I came to Johnson City and found out that sometimes that care is not always the same or the care allowed is not always the same in different states. So after a few failed attempt to find a family physician here in Tennessee, something led me, for those of you that believe in God you'll know what I mean for those of you who don't let's just call it a very interesting set of circumstances. I made an appointment with a nurse practitioner? That is a person who started out in the medical field to provide the care and compassion that a nurse does and then through their own personal desire went back to school and got a master's in order to be able to prescribe and care for patients just like a doctor does. So you get the care and compassion of a nurse send it in with the capabilities of a doctor, and I can assure you did some doctors aren't really that interested in your personal being? I know that sounds funny but if you would like me to share instances out of the hospital with you I will. So went to the office and I should have known right when the nurse came out to get me, her name was Doris Hardin, and my aunt Doris was married to my Uncle Joe and brought me to Great cousins and I used to work with a gentleman named Denning Hardin, who always made me laugh because he said there is no ding in Hardin hahaha and then the nurse practitioner Doctor Pat Gibson came in, and it was my aunt passed who offered to adopt me from my mom because my mom was only 17 years old when I was born set my mom chose to come to California and live with her sister on Gibson Road in Woodland Cprovideralifornia! So the words and the word Gibson were both big parts of my life before I even got here and I mean a lot to me and fortunately they mean far more to me now than they used to because I have found a caring considerate understanding and a dog loving oh, and it was a dog's love and push that actually got me back walking again so, well, I would have given Dr Gibson 20 Stars but that would have been a couple hundred too short? Or maybe thousands?

My initial checkup left a lot to be desired in terms of professionalism, expedience, and the general quality of care. The entire establishment seems to be run like it's still 1982. To top that off, I recently received a notice that my account was being sent to collections despite having no contact with them for nearly a calendar year. I tried calling them immediately, but apparently they close at 1:00 PM on Friday. I'm assuming the bill was likely lost in the mail, but that's no excuse as Dr. Cote and staff made absolutely no effort to contact me via the other more reliable methods they recorded (phone, email, text, etc.) to inform me that I had an outstanding balance. Now I'm dealing with a collections agency and frivolous, needless damage done to my credit report. I cannot recommend this establishment in any way, shape, form, or fashion and would advise you to find somewhere else more reputable and professional if you're seeking a PCP.
