This is by far, the best company I have ever dealt with. I brought in 2 used tires to have mounted…read more The tires were 9 years old so I knew I was taking a bit of a risk on them, but they still had lots of tread. After having them mounted, about 1 mile down the road I had one of the tires go flat on me. I brought it back and my old tire was put back on at no charge. We inspected the flat tire and it looked like the bead on it had given up causing the flat. In need of tires I decided to purchase 4 new Kenda Kenetica KR17 tires from him. They would come in the next morning. That afternoon after about an hour of interstate driving the other "new" tire blew out on me. I brought it into his shop in the morning and pointed out that my other new tire had blown out. I was hoping that he would offer to put some of the money that I had just spent mounting the tires towards my new tires. He made no mention of it and I decided to wait to talk about it when the new tires were mounted and it was time to pay. I came back about an hour later and he told me that there was a problem but he was going to make it right. When he removed my second tire to see what caused it to go flat, he noticed that it was damaged exactly as the first one was. Thinking it odd that two tires would fail the exact same way he inspected his tire mounting machine. He had just had it serviced right before I came in to get my used tires mounted and he found that it had been calibrated incorrectly. Since his machine was unable to mount tires he told me that what he was going to do was give me the 4 brand new tires at no charge. I tried to argue with him and at least offer to pay something but he refused. He was absolutely beside himself for the inconvenience and time that it had cost me because of his machine. It's unfortunate that businesses like this who believe in standing behind their work are the exception today, and not to norm. Interstate Tire and Auto has completely won any future business from me, and even if they do cost a little more, or you have to drive a bit further to get to him, the peace of mind of knowing that you are dealing with an honest company who stand by their work is well worth it. As an aside, I did compare their prices with www.tirerack.com and several other online tire places and after considering shipping and installation, Interstate tire and Auto was significantly cheaper that any of these options. I fully recommend anyone to buy their tires here, they will make sure you go home happy!
