We came home to our AC being out this Thursday night after 7 PM. I called Giles and they had a technician to our home within 30 minutes. He was very kind and thorough and was able to patch our unit for the night that is over 25 years old. They came back to put in a new unit today (the very next day) and once again, every single worker was very polite and professional. They made sure they cleaned up after themselves and explained everything thoroughly. Plus, they're not charging us for the after hours visit yesterday due to us having to buy a new unit! The technicians are good but the office scheduling is terrible. I have been waiting since 9:00 this morning for any kind of information on when a tech might show up. The office person answering the phone refused to even contact the tech to get a time update. I was told only that I would receive a call when the tech was on the way. I have had to reschedule my entire day due to their inability or reluctance to keep the customer informed. This is not the way to run a company. It is now 2:45 pm and still no word on an arrival time. Techs encounter unforeseen problems that may take more time than expected, thus delaying the next customer. I get that. Can the dispatcher not notify the waiting customer? Poor customer service! read more
