So this guy decided to go onto facebook and share a picture he took of some random girls in an airport and post the picture with the caption below. "WHO DECIDED THAT WEARING THIS KIND OF OUTFIT IS COMFY IN AN AIRPORT??? I swear airports have turned into public living rooms. People really pulling up to TSA in full sweats, pajama pants, and bedroom slippers like they're clocking in for a nap, not boarding a flight. Pillow missing, effort missing, confidence a little too loud. No self-awareness. No standards. Just straight up "this is good enough" energy at 30,000 feet. This used to be a place where people at least PRETENDED to look put together. Now it's full send comfort chaos, hair everywhere, clothes looking slept in, acting like the airport is their bedroom. I'm not saying wear a suit, but damn, can we agree girls should at least wear a proper outfit outside the house?? Airports feel like Walmart at 6am with boarding passes. That's my story and yes, I'm minding everyone's business today coz this generation is CRAZZZZYY." https://www.facebook.com/share/p/17tt5aDrbv/ For the record the people pictured were all dressed in sweatpants and hoodies. Is this the kind of judgmental person guy you want to use as your doctor or therapist? Just imagine what he says or posts about you behind your back. read more

I told him I was having trouble in my marriage. After just one session, he told me if I don't have sex with my husband he's going to cheat on me with someone else. He also cussed constantly. Super unprofessional. If you want some comedy, he's your guy. read more

Due to the near-death of my son I have had the need to see therapists, and the difficulties I find are they can either be too passive, too disinterested, or too in your face such that you feel attacked. So, it was a game changer for me to find Dr. Chalepas. First, unlike almost all potential therapists, when I started the dreaded search and left the initial messages seeking a consult, he called me back promptly and listened to my synopsis and asked me to fill out some intro paperwork so he could best understand my issues and set up a quick phone call to gauge whether he could be of help - not waste both our times with some meandering opening session booked weeks out. Second, he was candid in probing what I wanted and expected of him and offering what he saw his role as, which was refreshing in that I wanted someone who would probe and challenge and question my issues and not sit back and say, "and how does that make you feel?" My last therapist had been like that, and this method of course works for many, but for those who already have a situation where they know how they feel and want to step it up, they need a more engaged give and take approach. Third, after we began sessions, while he did challenge me, it was in a thoughtful way - ways that made me honestly evaluate my situation. I think about what we've discussed during the week, ask myself those and related questions, sometimes related hard questions for which I don't like the answers - which is what you need to do if you are going to grow and get out of the quagmire. In my opinion, going to therapy is not to for lollipops and rainbows. If you aren't uncomfortably facing your issues and decisions, and if the therapist isn't helping push you to face them, you aren't growing and making progress, and you're wasting your time. Dr. Chalepas has started to help me on this process. Finally, he does this in a way that is not attacking or condescending as some therapists can - especially in the Beverly Hills area. I am not going to share my personal life with, and and pay. some dick to make me feel stupid. Based on my sessions thus far, I believe Dr. Chalepas genuinely cares and wants growth and positive change for his patients. read more

Dr.G in my opinion is the best therapist in Los Angeles! I have been seeing D.G for 2 years via zoom on a weekly basis. Every week I look forward to our sessions because dr.g is so welcoming, warm, kind and very thoughtful. I enjoy talking to Dr.g because he is well versed in LGBT issues and he has helped me tremendously to see my self worth and has given me simple and easy techniques to help me be my true, authentic self. I've seen HUGE progress in my 2 yrs seeing dr.g and am thriving in my personal life and career! One of the things I love about dr.g is that he let's you work at your own pace and doesn't call out your direct issues even though he can see right thru them. it has taken me 2 years to finally have my Ah Ha moment but I finally got there with his patience and guidance. I highly recommend Dr.g to anyone if they're seeking a patient, authentic, and kind therapist. thank you Dr.g for everything! Alex read more

I have been seeing Dr. Gilbert for over two years now. He conveniently utilizes Skype and Google Hangouts video services to facilitate the therapy sessions, if traveling to his offices is a challenge for the client, which is excellent. He is a great listener. Dr. Gilbert helped me identify the problem areas in my life. He has empowered me to make my self care a higher priority. He has given me good techniques to manage stress, and has encouraged me to build my self esteem. Dr. Gilbert also has a great business mindset. As a business owner, I have received invaluable tangible advice, along with the intangibles. It really helps having a therapist who understands business language. Dr. Gilbert is a professional and I like that. I highly recommend him for anyone's therapy/counseling needs. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Gilbert Chalepas since 2018. I give him my highest recommendation as a psychotherapist. After 40 years of therapy and 12 therapists, I can confidently say that Dr. Chalepas is one of the top 2. For me, therapy has been a journey of healing and growth, and of learning self-acceptance and resiliency. I know that finding a therapist was for me, an overwhelming task. But I also know that a good client-therapist fit is the key to effective therapy. It is very courageous to be honest to a stranger and develop a relationship with him or her, but I can say for certain that Dr. Chalepas makes this as easy and gentle and rewarding as possible. In my ongoing work with Dr. Chalepas, he has provided a non-judgmental, compassionate environment for me to develop, heal, and grow. He consistently challenges and empowers me to learn and create positive ways of dealing with life's challenges, while, in my case, dealing with the side-effects of my medication. Dr. Chalepas has specifically helped me with my schizophrenia and bipolar diagnosis, and he has helped me overcome thoughts of suicide and hopelessness. He also has helped me with my severe anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and PTSD. And where I can, Dr. Chalepas has really helped me to tolerate uncomfortable and painful feelings, knowing that tomorrow is a new day to rise again! Bottom line: Dr. Gilbert Chalepas and Reconnect Relationship, Beverly Hills, are excellent! read more

My only regret is that I didn't find him years ago! This is definitely a provider who cares. Although he operates a busy practice, he is available and accessible. Expect a straight forward session from this champ.. no frills!!! read more

Dr. Chalepas came off as condescending, dismissive, and at times downright mean. Whenever I would bring up an issue I was having, he would dismiss it with a corny motivational quote like "fall down 7, get up 8" or tell a half-baked story about a historical figure that had depression. At one point I brought up an issue I was having with self-harm and he mockingly said "Why are you doing that? Are you autistic or something?" Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

I am so grateful and lucky to have Dr Chalepas as my Psychologist I would definitely describe him as brilliant and someone who genuinely cares. He single-handedly helped me face a debilitating phobia I had for over 20 years which I conquered thanks to him! Many Psychologists would not care as much but he actually does, he was there for me through each step of the way (even on the day I had to face my phobia which was on a weekend). I highly recommend him to anyone with an affliction, phobia, or concerns about something in their life. He can and will definitely guide and help you through it, and most importantly help heal you. Another bonus is that Dr Chalepas has a wonderful warm personality with a great sense of humor and definitely tells it like it is, but in a caring and compassionate realistic kind of way, and if dr Chalepas is reading this, I'd like to Thank you so much for helping me face my biggest phobia I am forever indebted to you. read more

Finding the right fit for a psychologist is not exactly a walk in the park. It wasn't until I met Gilbert and became one of his patients that I realized what a true psychologist is about. From the moment Gilbert returned my phone call to set an appointment, he came off kind and sincere. Upon meeting him I liked that he had different perspectives and was open minded. He truly cares about your well being, takes his time and really gives it his all to get to any underlining issues. I highly recommend trying Gilbert out. You will not be disappointed! read more
