After sharing my concerns, Mr. Kakoian contacted me directly via email and threatened to sue me if I did not remove this review. That threat only reinforced my concerns and made me question the overwhelmingly positive reviews on his profile. It made me wonder whether other clients felt pressured to stay silent or remove negative feedback. When I first hired Mr. Kakoian, he appeared attentive and professional--quick to respond, eager to get started, and prompt in collecting his retainer. Unfortunately, that level of responsiveness changed shortly after signing the agreement. Over time, I felt that meaningful progress on my case stalled while billing continued. Communication dropped off significantly, and I had to follow up repeatedly just to receive basic updates. At times, I genuinely questioned whether any substantive work was being done on my file. Frustrated by the lack of progress and his practice, I filed a complaint with the California State Bar and submitted documentation outlining what I believed was serious mismanagement. If you're working with Mr. Kakoian and feel something isn't right, I strongly encourage you to advocate for yourself. The State Bar exists to protect clients and hold attorneys accountable. This review reflects my personal experience and honest opinion. Based on how my matter was handled, I would not recommend Mr. Kakoian. The tenant was only obligated to pay for one room in a house, so they were getting the entire property for next to nothing. While we spent many months going back and forth with the tenant trying to resolve the situation, and getting not-so-great advice from other lawyers, a family friend recommended us to Anthony Marinaccio. During our first consultation, Anthony found a very clear strategy that he believed would work to gain possession of the property again. He was very attentive to our needs, and took time out of his busy schedule to explain all the legal steps in the eviction process as we proceeded. The team took care of serving all of the proper papers when it came time to give a 60-day notice. About four months ago my HVAC unit stopped working. The landlord brought out his person to replace…read morethe entire HVAC system. After it was replaced the unit didn't function properly. Either it didn't turn on, or it worked in reverse. After three more attempts from the HVAC people to repair the issue, they determined that my Nest E-thermostat was after market and not compatible with my new HVAC system. The Nest was installed 10 months prior to the HVAC unit not working. I also had the original purchase invoice from Best Buy proving that it was not an aftermarket knock off of Nest, in reality it was a standard thermostat sold at any big-box retailer. The landlord determined with his lack of knowledge that I was at fault and was trying to charge me for the entire HVAC unit. A very very large cost for something that has nothing to do with me. This is were Mr. Gevorkian and his team took action. They reviewed my lease and wrote more than one very professional correspondences with my Landlord. After a bit of back and forth the landlord stopped hassling me and fixed the HVAC unit properly. I fell into a situation that I would have had a much worse outcome if it were not for Law Republic's efforts to resolve the issue without further cost to me or the Landlord. The end result was simple a different HVAC company came out and determined that the previous 3 visits were a waste of time, and that all that was needed to be done was switch a wire that was faulty in the HVAC system it self.
