Today 4-7-2024 was at Staples to buy an office chair and found one on display. Talked to worker…read moreabout chair and was told I just missed the sale on the chair and had a price of 189.00. I looked further and the sales tag was still up at a price of 138.00. The problem was the only one they had was floor model. It was dirty and obviously been used and I asked if they could adjust the price because of floor model and was used. We settled on the price of 139.00 and wheeled it up to counter to pay. I was then told there's an added price for assembly of 20.00 but again it was floor model and already assembled. Not the best response from checkout either....take it or leave it....have a nice day Sir.....Totally NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY.

I tried to narrow his search by telling him I'm looking for a compact printer / scanner that is not an HP product. Nothing came to mind and he said he doesn't know his entire inventory. So he again still told me to come in or go online. Not what I expected. I am going to call Staples in Coeur d'Alene.

I have lived in this location for over 33 years. For most of that time 25 years Fed Ex deliveries…read morewere accurate and delivered to my front door. During the last few years local FedEx has used a contracted service for their drivers. They do not seem to be very well trained, they spit on our concrete driveway, their rented vehicles drip oil and other fluids on my concrete driveway, they throw boxes from the back of their delivery vehicles (about 6 feet to the ground damaging the contents and busting open the boxes-I have an album of pictures of damaged items if you are interested), they have driven on our lawn, and they have delivered packages to each of 5 different wrong doors. Our front door is well identified and well-marked. Delivering to a door that we may not use for several days has resulted in frozen Omaha Steak, Harry and David Steak dinners ruined due to exposure to high summer temperatures, liquid wood Varnish ruined due to exposure to very cold winter temperatures subzero, and many other ruined deliveries. Ten days ago, a local FedEx representative, Amy, called here. During that conversation I mentioned again that all deliveries must be made at the West Man Door. Since that conversation ten days ago, three deliveries have been made to the wrong door. I tried to call but that is a nightmare! I guess the phone system is set up to minimize the calls that FedEx receives.

It arrived in Ponderay, Idaho from Lacey Washington on 7/13/22 and was supposed to be delivered that day. It's now 7/14/22 and it is still sitting in Ponderay which is 30 miles away and is a 60 mile round trip. The home improvement store needs to choose a different shipper.
