What a HORRIBLE PLACE AND EXPERIENCE!!! Made an appointment…read morefor my 6 month Havanese becasue she was recently fixed and the pajama gown she had to wear matted her. They told me to drop her off at 9am. I spoke with Susie when I arrived and explained to her what I wanted and showed her a picture. I went back home waiting hours and finally received a text from Susie asking me to send her the picture again, so I did but thinking OMG its 2:30 and she hasn't even started her yet. I should have picked her up right then!! 4:00 o'clock rolled around and was concerned so I went there. I asked her if she was done yet and she said rudely NO! I asked her where my little Stella was and she told me in the back and said I had to leave I could not be there. Right there and then I should have took Stella home. So I decided to run 10 min up the road to Wal-Mart to pick up my moms prescriptions as I parked she called me and said she was done. I thought well she was not done 10 min ago what is going on?? My puppy sat in a crate all day with no water first of all... then she tells me with disgust that It is $70 dollars for my little girl and complained how she was a lot of work over and over. I thought If you had 35 years experience like she said she sure did complain over and over. When I arrived I asked her where she was and she said in the back, when she proceeded to get her and bring her out to me I could see she was stressed out waving her paws and the look in her eyes. Susie would not hand me my dog after asking her twice to give me my puppy I finally had to get loud and tell her to give me my dog. It was crazy. So un- professional and she was so rude. When we arrived home my Stella ran right to her water bowl and gobbled it down, I know she hadn't had water all day! Then she started making this struggling noise coming from her throat. Well Susie had her collar on too tight while grooming her and the vet said it seemed like she was pulling on it. My little girl was in pain and traumatized to say the least. I WOULD NEVER BRING MY PUPPY THERE IF I WERE YOU!! NEVER.. AND I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS. I TOOK VIDEO AND PICTURES OF HER STRESS AND PAIN AND THE BUTCHER JOB AND SO UN EVEN SHE GROOMED HER!! SOME PROFESSIONAL....

My dog has gone to Tiki Tails for the past 6 years. I really appreciated the great care they…read moreprovided but, earlier this year, Tiki Tails has expanded their resort to a much bigger facility which is beautiful, but, you don't get the warm greeting like you did at the smaller daycare. The receptionist at the desk in the afternoon when picking up my dog didn't know who I was unlike in the past when I was greeted personally and they knew my dog. A couple of weeks ago on a Friday, I dropped my dog off in the morning and she was happy to be at daycare and perfectly fine, when I returned to pick her up, she was limping so badly that she could hardly walk and the receptionist was oblivious. I asked what happened and was told that she was fine which resulted in a veterinary visit that night which I was told that she sprained her shoulder and leg where she was put on medication and restricted activity. I know that the resort cannot watch each dog individually, but, my dog had limited restrictions which were mentioned every time I brought her to daycare. The following Monday, I spoke to one of the leads letting her know how upset I was that my dog got hurt on their watch and also disappointed that the larger facility has resulted in less personal service and lack of attention. As a long term customer, I expected a call from the owners of Tiki Tails, but, never received one.

And he can be hard to handle, especially for nail trims. Trinity came out to Introduce herself and just began speaking to Jack and petting him. I put a muzzle on him because I just wasn't sure. Then off they went to The back room. I got a text that Jack was ready so I anxiously went in and there was my handsome boy, all trimmed, smelling great and with a cute bandana around his neck. Trinity explained that she took the muzzle off right away and he was so great with her! He was such a good boy!! A bit squirmy and loud about his nails but a perfectly good boy for the whole process. I would highly recommend Florida Paws Grooming! And so would my boy Jack!

More importantly, they take excellent care of my tiny little baby Maltese who was downright traumatized by her first two visits to the groomers: PetSmart and PetCo! Yeah, I didn't know any better! *facepalm* I've always had dogs and cats, but she's the first one I've ever had that requires actual grooming on a regular basis -- instead of the occasional bath & nail trim at the vet! Speaking of which, they always grind the nails, never cut! That and expressing the anal glands is included in the price, though you do have to pay extra for tooth brushing! They're so gentle that she doesn't mind going, and she's never traumatized and shaking when I pick her up -- just happy to see me after an hour apart! ALSO... If your dog has more than a little matting despite daily brushing because you've never had a longhaired breed before and don't know what you're doing, remember: humanity over vanity! Take them here to be shaved down gently and safely without being traumatized! Then listen very carefully when they tell you exactly what tools and techniques you should be using from now on, and how often! So far, every groomer there has been great - but Jazz is particularly awesome! Remember to tip your groomer!

Today I took my 5+ month old puppy for a full groom. (his first) Unfortunately that didn't happen…read morebecause the young woman (groomer?) said it couldn't be done but a "touch up" of the nails, ears, paws, etc could be done. This was unacceptable to me as all these things had been done by my vet or myself. I had driven 10+ miles one way and have been doing so for so many years I can't remember. This included 4 different dogs. As I was entering the store there was a sign posted in the door saying closing early today at 4 pm. I think this was the real reason for not grooming my puppy. Additionally, I tried making this appointment when my puppy was for months old. Same comment of not doing a full groom so I waited another 6 weeks before making this appointment. No mention of a touch up. I tried calling several times after leaving because I was very angry. Calls went to voicemail, i left voicemails. Not a surprise. They were not busy but they did not want more customers today because they were closing early. I will not be returning to Dipidy Dog in the future. This is an unfortunate situation for both parties.
