My wife, I & and two friend visited here for a late lunch after visiting the Ancient Forest provincial park. We were VERY pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the food. We ordered mainly burgers with fries/onion rings + a salad. Quantity was ample, and the burgers were very tasty. Highly recommended. read more

We stopped for lunch on the way to PG. A great pit stop for a meal n stretch if your on a road trip. The decor seems pretty new and clean, washrooms were clean, food was excellent and we were pretty happy w our meals. We ordered the BLAT and the Cajun shrimp Caesar salad. We would def stop by again while on the road. read more

Visited here a week ago on our trip across British Columbia. Server was terrific, as was the taste and the quantity of the food. Considering the EXCLLENT quality and quantity, prices were VERY reasonable. I had the spaghetti dinner special, and while I rarely ever get a take-home box, asked for one. Had a huge meal of it left over the next day. Not only did it is have lots of ground meat in its sauce, but also tender strips of beef also. My wife's meal was wonderful too. We will return! read more

We always stop here on our way to visit family in BC and we stop in on the way back home to AB. The food is amazing! Cozy and clean atmosphere. Great service. Best food in McBride. read more

Really good food, a tad pricey for mcbride. Definetly head and shoulders above anything in town. Open in the evenings relatively late. Can get quite busy so food can be a bit slow, great place otherwise. read more

Established in 2012.

The pub was constructed in 1992 by Joycelyn Monroe as the Old Powerhouse Pub as McBride's first electrical generating station was on this location. The Gigglin' Grizzly opened in 2012 and in 2018 re-opened under new management with family service (children must be accompanied and supervised by parent or guardian) providing good food, prepared in house!

Pretty small room with a few big screen tv's, a couple slot machines, a pool table...very 'neighborhood pub' style. Dinner specials were Spaghetti & Meat Sauce (I got that and thought it was pretty good) and the other special was Veal (which Jimmy got & hated) So...as far as food goes, there are probably better places around, but since it was late & we didn't see anything else open, this place did the trick. The bartender was also the server, and quite possibly the chef maybe, and she was doing a great job - there were quite a few people in there for beers & playing the vlt machines, and she managed to keep everyone happy! She was really good! Made me the best Blueberry Tea I've ever had. If you're passing through Grand Cache & are looking to have a few low-key beers and maybe play some pool, this is your place!

Used to LOVE this place, and it was our go-to when visiting our family here. Recently it's gone WAY downhill. $80 after tip for a small poutine appy, chicken wrap, wings and fries that just gave us both food poisoning. Most expensive diuretic ive ever bought. Huge divebomb in quality and portions with a big jump in price. Hub's wrap was more onion than wrap. 10$ for a poutine that uses Costco Cavendish fries and gravy . I could buy the couple kilo bag of fries for that price. Overall really disappointed. The only saving grace it has is that the servers are really awesome. read more
