Amelia was an absolute dream to work with! She is the perfect combination of personable, warm and…read morefriendly, while also being a confident professional. As a first-time mom (and generally anxious person), I felt completely supported by Amelia. She had a plethora of tricks, tips, and strategies to help me/my husband feel confident and empowered in this birth. As a doula, she walks you through the options that you have, and provides evidence-based strategies to support for making your birth/parenting preferences and decisions. Amelia seems to have a sixth sense for noticing and responding to what my husband and I needed to feel supported throughout the entire process. When I was anxious she helped me re-frame my fears... when I was starving and needed soup during labor, she saved the day...when I was exhausted and needed strategies for support with breastfeeding, she was there! Amelia also has a sweetness and professionalism that allows her to build a strong rapport with the medical team, and the doctors and nurses took note of this and made sure to compliment me on how wonderful Amelia was to work alongside. Throughout the prenatal, birth, and post-partum visits my husband and I kept saying to each other that Amelia was worth every penny that we spent on her services. My husband and I truly do not know what we would have done without her support and expertise in this journey, and we are so happy she was part of our birth team! We felt 100% more confident and prepared because of her. The icing on the cake is that her doula services include professional birth/newborn photos. These photos will inevitably bring you to tears!

She has a lovely way of blending into the background so she is unobtrusive, but as soon as she was needed she was right there, anticipating the birthing mother's needs and adding a helping hand. I would recommend her to any family looking for a doula. I had met her previously through the local birth networks, and have seen her attending continuing education trainings and sessions with other doulas to hone her craft. This is such a good sign when you are looking for a doula. Amelia is the real deal.

So very grateful to this clinic- I'm not from the area so I didn't have a primary care physician…read moreconsult with, so I stopped here for what I believed to be an infected bug bite on a Sunday. I waited for awhile which is normal for an urgent care especially since I wasn't experiencing any emergency symptoms and it was a Sunday where they have limited hours in a more rural area. The doctor saw me and had an immediate plan for action, awesome. Not so awesome was that they needed to drain a cyst on a very sensitive part of the body. She tries to tell me the litacain shot will hurt, but I truly I was not expecting how painful it would really be. The doctor lets me rest for a minute and then goes to grab a nurse to be in the room to hold my hand through the pain as they still had to give me more shots (she asked my permission first). TOTALLY unlike any experience I've had. I never knew I could be in so much pain from a shot that was supposed to numb me, but am so incredibly grateful to the doctor who brought in a nurse for support and for the nurse who sat with me. I did not get the doctors name, but Tamatha was the one who held my had through my tears and screams and she is an absolute angel. Before they began the shots again they let me call my mom who could not physically be there- the doctor explained what was going on to her for me since I couldn't speak through my pain and they were happy to leave her on speaker for me for the rest of the time I was there. I'm grateful for that because with the pain I was in I still don't remember a lot of what they said so my mom was able to be my ears and have an understanding of what was going on without physically being there. The nurse proceeded to stay right with me, held my hand and was very calming (even though I was in fact, absolutely hysterical). Both the doctor and nurse really went above and beyond to make me feel safe and as comfortable as possible. I felt very well cared for, one of the best places I've ever been in terms of bedside manner, especially in a painful and uncomfortable situation. The community is very lucky to have this place with this staff and I hope for their sake it continues. I certainly hope whoever runs this place realizes the staff they have is amazing and do everything they can to continue that way and keep these great doctors and nurses. BIG thank you to Tamatha and the doctor who's name I can't remember, your treatment has set my bar high for future care.

She made very rude noises left told the dentist what I said and he said " I won't see her then!" This was all within my earshot! She came back in and ask me to leave!
