Dr. Karm and her staff do amazing work!…read more I have been an athlete my entire life: competitive swimmer- turned Crossfitter- turned Orange Theory addict. In July 2021, after seeing an orthopedic doctor and receiving a round of HA gel injections previously, my knee was in an abundance of pain. I could barely walk and it was affecting my ability to work, workout, drive and do normal activities with friends and family. At the advice of a friend, I called Active Care. I had never been to a Chiropractor before but was desperate for help. I was welcomed with friendly faces, a clean and open office, an insurance sheet that told me exactly how much I would owe for what and when, and Doctors with positive attitudes, outgoing personalities, and who truly want the best for you. I saw Dr. Freseth who created a plan for me that included rehabilitation, adjustments, exams, and regular massages with Cheryl. Every rehab session turned into "work and talk" discussions about food, life, athleisurewear and healthy living which made me excited to keep coming back and motivated to keep up my progress. Anytime I have a question about my account statement, I receive a response in less than an hour. By November 2021, I was pain free, back to working out 6x a week, and running faster every day. In February 2022, I had a 2.3 second PR on a 500m row benchmark at Orange Theory, which I credit to Cheryl's massage work earlier in the day and the continued work of the Active Care team on this former athlete's creaky joints.

Also working from home and sitting at a desk all day doesn't help either! Realizing how everything is connected and one thing impacts another impacts another... My presenting issue was Sciatica and a spine that was out of alignment. These were completely resolved, and I have been experiencing no chronic pain since. However, I continued with adjustments because I discovered my health improved dramatically (I have not been ill for over six years), and my energy levels, flexibility, mobility and posture are all close to what they were decades ago! I have resumed weight-lifting. However, the main reason I have written a new review is this: Quite recently, Dr. Hutton has introduced a new Chiropractor to the practice -- Dr. Fish. For the past couple of months I have been seeing him for my adjustments, and he is outstanding! He has been very skillful at finding and resolving areas of tension or potential misalignment before they cause any real discomfort or problems! I have been quite impressed! He is also very personable and easy to talk with. If you considering chiropractic therapy, I highly recommend Dr. Fish! Finally, I don't want to leave out the office staff, who are welcoming, pleasant and always happy to help a patient with any problems! Please DO give Palatine Family Chiropractic a try!!

If you face a challenging situation, I highly recommend that you stop in for a consult to see if he can improve your situation. Saying Dr. Fager changed the trajectory of our lives is the understatement of the year. His care helped my wife recover from a serious car crash even after numerous attempts were made by other doctors. Our son had chronic ear infections as a toddler and we were one more infection away from having tubes put in his ears. He hasn't had an ear infection since. For my care, Dr. Fager helped me gain insight to a difficult diagnosis...a gesture for which I am eternally grateful. In addition to these amazing interventions, Dr. Fager had managed our chiropractic care for more than twenty years. Our family is grateful beyond words for his care, comfort, and expertise within the chiropractic field.
