It is my hopes that it either gets removed for being overly subjective and petty, or gets buried by the 5 stars that need to follow. The people who work here are real humans that care about the clients who walk through the door. 99% of the time you will receive a smile and welcome greeting as you enter. That is, oddly enough, better than average in the gym world. Equipment is always in working order and clean, the pools are always available, the locker rooms are tidy, and there are always fresh towels. I've been a member for nearly 2 years and cannot think of a single issue that wasn't handle swiftly...they even changed out the basketball net within days of us letting them know that it could no longer release the ball without help. While I do not have a personal trainer, they do not hover over you asking you about signing up for things that I do not want. I appreciate that they are always available and willing to help. This gym is clean, organized, and ready for use every time. Another reason I appreciate this gym is that it requires a key to get in because of its 24 hour access. This makes me feel safe and I know that if anything did happen, they have a way of tracking who has been there using their key cards and the cameras that are present. The gym members are pretty focused on their workouts and none of them are rude. I also appreciate the size of the gym. It is smaller but that does not mean it has fewer options. It is separated between two rooms, one with machines and dumbbells and another with squatting racks and other ways to get a workout in. Because it is smaller, it does not get as packed as larger gyms. And because it does not get packed like the larger gyms, you have space to work out using whatever machine or weights you need. So far, if I had something to complain about, it would just be the parking. They cannot control this, obviously. When you join this gym, I think it would be wise to get there at an early time than you plan to be there so that you can find good parking especially at night or when the weather is pretty bad. I really am happy that I signed up with this gym and I look forward to having more changes in my health as I stay consistent in checking in.

My contract is up at my current gym so I decided to come back to In-shape to try it out, one of my main reasons for going back was the free weights & the pool. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the pool whatsoever because apparently all the local high school swim teams use it for practicing every evening. The gym was pretty clean and the overall experience wasn't too bad, just for the price of membership the bankers hours and lack of public pool usage is very frustrating.

Some rooms were larger than others but the spaces provided members an opportunity to feel comfortable no matter the physical vulnerabilities. The restrooms were cute and appeared updated. First off, the gym is open 24/7 and has plenty of parking. The front desk team was immediately welcoming and offered me a tour. While I have been a gym rat for decades, a tour is always important to understand the layout and amenities, so I was happy the team understood the value of doing one. Training Zone has over four sections with cardio, strength, and stretching areas, in addition to a basketball court and three rooms dedicated to strength and cycle classes! They have a rooftop area which is critical for us over-heaters and a fantastic Kids' Zone which is included in the membership. Amenities seem endless, with locker rooms, showers, tanning, and bath rooms with sauna and steam rooms. The gym is fresh and clean, and has just the right amount of beast-mode vibes. Best of all, there is a Women's Zone! What a treat for us women who want to have a bit of a safe zone while lifting, bending, and stretching. Pricing is competitive with a membership costing $60/month. There are more layers here but overall I found the pricing to be fair given all that is included. It has machines, free weights, squat racks, and everything that you need to get you in shape. There is enough space and enough room to get your workout in without having to wait for a machine for too long. There is music playing in the background but it does not blast into your ears like many gyms sound systems can do. The staff is helpful and are friendly and explaining and answering questions. Charlie was the person who helped me finish my registration and spent a good amount of time making sure that my barcode worked for my check-in app. I really appreciate that they have spray bottles to clean before and after use of the machines and chairs. This is important to me specifically because I am a caregiver to a cancer patient who is immuno compromised. While I know that it is very important to exercise, I also do not want to bring anything back into my home that I could potentially catch from anywhere which is why cleanliness is important. Story time on how I got harassed at Planet fitness 2 times in yuba city!…read more I was just at the planet fitness in yuba city, when I got hate crimed, AGAIN! The first time it happened, I was taking my rest and getting some water when an old man tap my shoulder asking me how many sets I had. I didn't really care because he is old and probably wanted to see when the machine is done. I almost done, then he comes up starts harassing me saying I was sitting on my ass the whole time I was there. He then said he'll get a manager and he ended up walking to the front to get an employee. I told him that the other machine was open for him to go there, and he told ME to go to ANOTHER MACHINE. The manager gave us a free month and gave a warning to the other man. TODAY, I'm doing my leg workout again , then an old lady comes by snaps in my face saying "wakey, wakey" I got creeped out and gave her a dirty look. Then this other OLD lady came up to me asking me for my sets. (Turns out the old man from before sent her to me to harass me!) I told her 3 more sets and she can have the machine. She walks away and I told my sister what happen. Then the same old lady came back and started telling me to hurry up snapping her fingers like I'm a dog. "We don't have all day other people have too do a workout in their time spans" keep in mind, the same machine I was doing, the other one of it was OPEN.. OPEN!! She ended up getting an employee, and the worker came. I blocked her with my hand because she was like yelling when I'm talking to the worker. She SLAPS MY HAND AND TRIES TO PUSH ME.
