Knows exactly what he's doing and gets the job done right. I have never had an issue. His staff is excellent, and there is never a wait for your appointment like some dentists. They are really on the ball. The receptionist gave me some flack for arriving on time for my consultation instead of coming early. I will admit, they had asked me to come early, but I simply couldn't make it. No need for browbeating me over it. As far as the comment about charging $198 for an x-ray, it's true, but you should know your insurance coverage going in. Insurance companies aren't going to cover x-rays at the surgeon when you should have gotten them from your primary dentist beforehand. The $198 is an avoidable cost if you understand your insurance coverage. Dr Wert and his team provide 5 star service. Only giving 4 stars because, one, the dentist chair is worn with old cushioning. Don't need my arse aching while my teeth are being drilled and yanked at, and, two, they never called to follow up after the procedure which is a very common practice.

After another dentist in SA left me with a botched filling, I needed either a root canal or extraction and implant. Since I'm a baby and want as little work as possible, I chose the extraction and implant, since they have a much greater longevity than root canals. I showed up to his office in agony, wanting nothing more than for someone to lop my jaw off. Dr Wert informed me that due to the bad filling, I had infection and he didn't want to cause me more pain by operating on an infected mess (my words, not his). I was sent home with a great supply of pain meds, antibiotics, and valium for my dental fear to take on the procedure date. When I returned for my appointment, I was ushered into a warm procedure room, given a cozy, plush blanket, and they made sure I had music to help me zone out. This was the first dental experience I've had where they truly made sure I was comfortable, with my surroundings and the pain factor. I can honestly say the actual procedure didn't hurt one bit. With each follow up appointment, Dr Wert continued to show great chair side manner, making sure I was pleased with the results and that I wasn't in any pain at all. I can't say it enough: this is by far the best dental experience I've ever had.

A few days before my surgery, the office let me know that Dr. Holtquist had a personal matter to attend to and that Dr. Medley would be performing my surgery The day of surgery I walked in nervous and was quickly put at ease with the warmth and kindness of Dr. Medley. It was honestly the easiest and best experience I've had with a surgery. I was sedated for 99% of the procedure and only remember him telling me when they were moving on to my next tooth. About a week later, I started to have some pain in one area and called the office. Abby was extremely helpful in getting me scheduled for a follow up the next day. Dr. Medley explained everything he would do again and packed my socket with some medicated gauze which took all of 3 minutes and quelled my pain within 15 minutes. I cannot rave enough about this office, the helpful staff, or Dr. Medley. If anyone every needs a recommendation, this will be the office I tell them about.

In the two days post surgery, I started feeling severe pain, assuming I may have a dry socket, called the office and was accommodated even on a holiday, which truly meant the world to me. I went to this clinic a while back for a teeth cleaning and I learned that what they do is engage…read morein scare tactics. Let me explain. They dutifully take a lot of x rays of your teeth, the full mouth scan and then they place you in a room, alone with images of what they have scanned. It took me a while to realize that what I was looking at was my mouth because my teeth looked absolutely terrible. They use some kind of weird lighting trick to make your teeth look very yellowed. My teeth are not that horrible and are nice to look at. I wrote on their sheet that I was overall pleased with my smile. Then after viewing that screen for a while, about four females came into the room and said I had heavy bone loss and their clinic couldn't even do a routine cleaning. They wanted to refer me to a bone specialist like the specialist could restore my bones! They also talked about dentures and I flat out told them, I would NOT be receiving dentures. Oh, and another thing. At the end of the visit, they give you a looooong list of things you can buy or procedures you can have done to your mouth. I looked at the final cost and it was about four thousand dollars. Yup! You read that right. I will never return.

I decided to have Dr Albright pull my remaining 11 teeth including 2 wisdom teeth so a full set of dentures would be in my future. Dr Albright is an anesthesiologist as well so I was certain pain during procedure would be minimal. As I recall we started at 3:30 PM and I was in a taxi heading to my hotel by 8:30 PM. My mouth was an open sore and the meds I was provided helped me survive the following week. Eventually, the swelling subsided and 2 weeks later, the stitches came out. Dr Albright was supremely confident throughout. I was under time constraints so the choice to get ALL this work done in one sitting was entirely mine. I'll be eternally thankful things went as well as they did. Dr Albright was assisted by his son and they performed admirably.

Aqua Dental serves my entire family including me. They are great with little kids. My youngest is…read morevery nervous, and surprisingly, the dentist put him at ease. All my kids enjoy their visits for cleanings and the dentists and techs are top notch. Reception is also friendly and easy to deal with they take a wide range of insurance, including more complicated scenarios like my dual coverage. The entire facility is kept immaculately clean, which I can't say for all dentists in San Antonio! They do not do dental surgery at this site and will refer you to outside dental surgeons for root canals and more complicated procedures. Their waiting room was recently revamped. They now have six arcade racing games as well as Playstation 3 setups and 4K televisions showing kids movies. The movies are also shown in the exam areas which is nice while waiting. Speaking waiting, the only downside to this place is in the afternoon the wait times are pretty absurd. One appointment can keep you sitting around for two hours, but this is not always the case. Today my twins shared a biannual cleaning appointment and we were in and out in less than an hour. The kids get to pick out an inexpensive toy after their appointment and are given an electric toothbrush free of charge. The toys are better than the average quarter machine trinkets I've seen at other children dentists. I was not offered a toy after my adult visit. :) The receptionist told me that on busy afternoons during the school year they order in complimentary pizza for those waiting. With some longer wait times, that seems like a nice touch.
