Mr. Gibbons and his staff have been professional and valuable to me and my families efforts over the years. Knowledgeable, easy to reach, great value, and cooperative would be several simple terms I would use to describe Ken's law office and legal services. Do not hire. Not only did he fail to return my phone calls on almost every occasion, but he ignored the 12 attempts to contact him by the other party's lawyer. I cannot comment on the way he practices bankruptcy law, but his divorce law was appalling. I got myself divorced since he chose not to get involved. His website states that he is "dedicated to serving his individual and corporate clients with the utmost professionalism and attention" and that he "aggressively represents clients in contested and disputed divorces." I found both of these statements to be false and even the other lawyer was surprised at the level of unprofessionalism. read more

He spoke to me for free during the consultation and a couple other meeting afterwards to get everything set in motion. He was very professional, and even went to a hearing when I totally forgot(sorry about that). We had to reschedule it and he didn't seem phased by my mistake. Anyway, he delivered me an A+ product when everything was done and over with. He also went above his duty and gave me an extra with a tax issue I had. I feel that he went beyond his job description and I'd recommend him to everyone I know and anyone who's looking for an attorney dealing with his expertise. As a younger attorney he has the fresh book smarts from being a recent graduate, and he has the edge where older attorneys shy away. Upon returning to college a few months after my tax issue was resolved, I learned from the financial aid office that an outstanding tax bill will not be used against you when file for aid. Two different entities of the government work independently. (I had to add that in for anyone other who was/is in the same situation I was) Thanks for reading my review.

I was born disabled but he doesn't have time to do a full consult for free he said on the phone despite him assuring me via email that he would. He's supposed to be the knowledgeable professional. I should add - I called 4 minutes after our appointment was supposed to start and he 'stepped out of the office' for him to call back about 17 minutes after the meeting was supposed to start while I sat with major anxiety. So if I had gone in person, he wouldn't have even been there. Then, he didn't even listen to my case!! Said something about me wanting a case from 10,000 feet high? No dude, I was born disabled and have been fighting this on my own since 2009 and was referred to this abysmal agency. If I could give ZERO stars I would. They should specify that they only want easy imminent physical disabilities, else they have no time or care. I have it all recorded if anyone wants to listen! and then to boot, he sent a reply email that was worse than his phone call. I have pictures of those too ... Saul has better energy than this guy.

My boyfriend bought a home elsewhere in CT just a few years back before relocating for a job, and his major complaint with his previous real estate lawyer was that she didn't review paperwork with him and basically just expected him to sign away. When he tried to read, the lawyer accused him of not trusting her! Crazy considering you don't normally meet your closing attorney until the closing. I've already recommended Attorney Rubin's office to one friend having a tough time buying a foreclosure and I'd recommend him to YOU too!

Although he does seem friendly (in a phony and superficial sort of way) upon first meeting, it should quickly become apparent that his services are essentially useless... I reached out to him in the spring of 2018 (if memory serves) with the hopes of finding a job outside of my area (Sullivan County NY) as there is next to no employment options in that area and I have been trying to relocate ever since I graduated college in 2014... Our first meeting was little more than a 45min sales pitch where he did little more than proclaim how awesome he is and ramble on about all of his life accomplishments...He explained to me that he knew "all about the Catskills" and how there is nothing for anyone there and "would be glad to do whatever he could to help me relocate with a worthwhile job." I then paid his ridiculous $600 fee and the truth started to come out) 2nd meeting he handed me a worksheet with hundreds of jobs and told me to pick 20...I did and he acted like he had actually done something for me and that I should be grateful...I explained to him that I can't just pick up and relocate in hopes of finding a job in this field without a plan and that I needed further help....He then explained that he is NOT a career counselor and that I should probably just "stay where I am and work on myself" and then consider moving away but when I explained to him that waiting another 5-10 years wasn't an option, he just shrugged his shoulders and simply advised me to "seek out therapy for my depression" (As if I wasn't already in therapy lol) He also told me that I would probably "bomb" any interview I ever say for because I was "clearly depressed and quite socially inept." When I purposefully missed my 3rd meeting, he called me wondering why, but his way of "wondering" was to talk down to me about how he "isn't a miracle worker" and that I should just be grateful that "Someone like me is employed at all" and that I should just "plan on retiring" from said job (that only amplifies my depression and anxiety) I was never looking for a "miracle worker" or a "magic bullet/cure", rather a counselor who could help me find a stable, full time job that pays enough for me to pay my bills....What I got was a smarmy, condescending snake oil salesman who gave me a pile of useless worksheets and waited until I paid him to explain that he couldn't help "someone like me" This man is a both a con artist and a thief...PLEASE look elsewhere for employment related concerns.
