Now I do not frequent this store too much. Mostly because I'm in Macedonia area and I need to grab something. Today I needed to grab gemelli pasta. Went straight to the pasta isle. It did look like the isle had been hit by a tornado. So it took me a bit longer to find it than I think normal. I do have to say GE brand pasta s pretty reasonably priced and lots of choices. That's good. But they need to have the isle in order. I found the box I needed took a quick gander around to see if any good deals. Found formula on discount rack cheap and not expired. Bought it for family. And left. The cashier was nice. The store was fairly crowded. Produce was out and picked through. They do have Szayleys corn for .70 cents an ear. Store layout is typical you can find what you need. Just think it might be hard to find people and that makes the store look sloppy. read more

Long lines and wait, 2 self serve come on 2?! Cashier in her 90 very very rude and slow, older man in liquor store with the dyed black hair is mean and not friendly doesn't want to put liquor in plastic bag. Black lady in customer service nice to certain ppl rude and uppity to others. Bought chicken the past Sunday it was so dry and hard wasn't fit for a pig. I didn't buy Mac N cheese it was dry and brown... I will take my business to Mier in Aurora even Walmart is better than GE. read more

When is Giant Eagle in Macedonia going to get their act together? Considering lack of competition from other grocery chains that serve Sagamore, Northfield, Macedonia and Twinsburg- this store should be one of the better run stores, but consistently disappoints. The lack of stock and items that are always unavailable, is so annoying. Produce is awful and the whole store looks like a grocery store would typically look before a big snowstorm. Empty shelves. I couldn't even get a bone in chicken breast today! How do you not have that item in stock?! I have started to go to Heinen's In Brecksville but thought I'd give the GE in Macedonia one more try. Well, that is the last time. About a 1/3 of the items I needed weren't in stock. read more

This is a poorly managed store. The produce never looks fresh; any item that's on sale unless you are there at 7am the product will be sold out and overall disorganized. I'm sorry that the 93-year-old cashier still needs to work, but she is not nice and cannot perform the basic functions of the job. Please find a different role for her. read more

After reading all the Horrible reviews at giant eagle in Macedonia, I have to agree with the long lines in waiting. There really is no express lane. The registers that say ten items or less are supposed to be monitored by employees, But the customers have 40 items in their cart or more, Employees do nothing about it. While the customers with 3 items are waiting., This is so mismanaged, I see 4 managers walking around, not doing anything about it. It makes me never want to come here again. I'd rather drive to Heinens 20 minutes away than to every spend my money here ever again. Horrible management. read more

I've been shopping at this Giant Eagle for years and this is my Go To grocery store, but like one of the reviewer said "this has turned into a shit hole giant eagle". and I have to agree 100%! What aggravates me is that they never changed the times on this app. And the voice recording said they are open from 7 AM to 9 PM. Well I was just there yesterday (5/20/2020) and one of the staff members was shooing us out at about 7:50 PM! so what is it? what is your exact hours of operation?!. I am sure I was not the only one that drove for nothing yesterday because there was a few of us that came in right about that time! If this keeps going on and no improvement I would have to find another GO TO grocery store! There are so many good ones around the area! I found it annoying that I could not use their self check out without a giant Eagle advantage card. I don't have one and I don't live in the area. I just wanted to stop and get a rotisserie chicken. Had to call somebody over because I did not have the advantage card. Very annoying. read more

I wish zero stars was an option. This store is consistently the WORST grocery experience I have ever encountered. I've lived here for a year & it baffles the mind every single time how lines get so backed up, cashiers are so slow & inept, and no one is even pretending to hustle. I've never seen anything like this in my life. Incredibly inefficient management. If I lived somewhere different where I had another choice of grocery store I sure as hell would never return here. This place is way too dang expensive for the quality offered. Wal Mart has better produce for much cheaper. They may as well start a candle company with how much wax is on the dang apples. The deli lady forced me to buy some gross swiss cheese that I didn't want. I am bitter. Check out is super slow oftentimes. They do have 2 Red Boxes though. Their saving grace. read more

This Giant Eagle refuses to fill balloons bought elsewhere. It is the only place in the area that has helium. Even when I pleaded for the sake of my daughters 3 year old birthday pictures, they refused. Even when I offered to buy their balloons if they just filled mine...1 balloon., no go. They couldn't fill 1 balloon for a 3 year old. So much for taking care of your community and caring about families. read more

Overall: A small to mid sized supermarket with the usual selection, but the prices are way too high. Pricing: 2 stars. The prices are oddly high. They are consistently 30% above Walmart for the same items. I don't mind paying more to not have to go into a Walmart, but they are priced way too high. $3 for celery?? Selection: 3 stars. They have all the typical food you'd expect at a grocery store. Nothing too great or out of the ordinary. Service: 3 stars. I've had a few good cashiers, but it's hard to find anyone when you're in the aisles. read more

The Giant Eagle in Macedonia has turned into a real shit hole. A couple weeks ago we bought 4 toothbrushes, got charged for 5. Their E-coupon system is a joke. Doesn't work properly. The final straw was today. My husband bought a Vicks type inhaler. I don't think he should have to inspect packaging before purchasing. Brought it home, the bottom of package was pulled open. I guess some low life needed to clear their sinuses and put it back--we'll be getting a refund for this and stick to Heinen's. read more

Good Soups, Good Sushi.. OK store. Needs more space to line up at there lack of attended checkout lines. One complaint : Cheese. How does any cheese the size of a kiwi cost 5 bucks? The cheeses are great, but I can't see spending 2.50 a bite. Then you get your "golden" cheese home, it taste great except also taste like the plastic it's wrapped in. I like this Giant Eagle location but it is so hard to deal with the parking lot. I don't know how many times I have nearly been run over!! The store itself is newer and very clean. I have always had a positive experience with the employees, they seem to like their jobs and it shows. read more

Every time we shop there it takes longer to check out than it does to shop! The pharmacy: 30 day prescriptions take 32 days this is after waiting 30 minutes for them to tell us this. Never dealing with this pharmacy again. read more

This Giant Eagle is a very nice one. It was opened about a year or a year and a half ago, so it looks very new on the inside. It is very clean and just looks above what other grocery stores look like. They have their own brand of upscale food, called Market District, that provides great food. At this location, there is an Iggle Video and a child care facility for when the parents are shopping and want something for their little ones to do. There are also self checkout lines, which I can' t stand. They are way too hard to use. Just go to the normal checkout lines. The fuelperks at Giant Eagle are great. You get 10 cents off a gallon for every $50 you spend, and when you want to redeem the collected fuelperks, you go to a GetGo station, of which there is one two minutes from this store. There is also a huge collection of gift cards for various businesses, which you can buy and get fuelperks for. Overall, Giant Eagle is a great store and I recommend shopping at one if you are somewhat near one. read more

They are too cheap to pay people to work the cash registers so there are always veryyyyy long lines. Prices are high too, you can find better deals at Heinen's if you shop the sales. read more

I knew I should have asked for fresh Colby at the deli, but I didn't and was given it from the case, the ends are discolored and a bit dry and the taste is not fresh. The prices here are too high throughout the store. I stopped for my weekly grocery shopping hoping they had all that I wanted since Walmart's produce is not very good quality and Marc's has no fresh bread/bakery which normally each week I sacrifice one or the other to achieve one stop shopping. I'll continue my weekly shopping between those two from now on. If Marc's would have a bakery, a real one with just made bread/rolls available then I think I would never stray. read more
