False advertising and false promises. Giant Eagle is a pittsburgh based company with poor customer service. I have shopped here for decades, and have officially stopped buying anything, including gas. all over a bag of peanuts. i recently found a rock in a Giant Eagle brand bag of peanuts. Printed on the bag are several guarantees regarding quality and even include a double your money back guarantee. After bringing this to corporate customer services' attention, sending 8 pictures and my loyalty card number in early January my issued is not resolved. Only an email saying they will look into my concerns. I have followed up at least 4 times. I believe Giant Eagle thinks I am lying or this is a joke. I spend at least $250 each week on groceries and gas at Giant Eagle. Well I used to. I will never shop at any Giant Eagle or affiliate ever again. I will run out of gas and go hungry before this organization gets $1 from me. Seriously. if there weren't so many packaging guarantees it wouldn't be an issue. False advertising and false promises. Shame on you. All over $2.50. Peanuts, right. A billion dollar a year enterprise.

Great place for fruits and veggies. Love their plants collection. Self service is available.

Monroeville blvd Giant Eagle is my favorite closest grocery store to do my weekly shopping. I do love going to Whole Foods and Trader Joes for a special treat or in need of something specific from them. The store is huge to be sure, but once you get to know your way around, it is easy to zip through the store and get everything you need. It is a clean, well organized grocery store. My review is of the take out prepared foods. I love the weekly deal they offer in the Giant Eagle grocery paper. I also like the salad and hot food bar. I have yet to try the sushi. I can see it being prepared in front of my but still a little leery of getting my favorite food from a grocery store. Today I tried the homemade soups. Wedding and a Chicken Pot Pie. I liked the soup but won't try it again, maybe something different like; Potato or broccoli or the bisque. The soup was good, but was lacking flavor. I did not heat in the microwave as they suggest, instead I emptied the container in to a pot and heated on the stove. I don't like to microwave if I don't have to. The Pot Pie was good also, plenty of shredded chicken and vegetables. It had a bland gravy to it. I was hoping to get something ready and not have to add any ingredients to it. I got the pot pie cold to heat up once I got home. I set the oven to 350 for about 20mins. I would recommend it for those to try. I am not going to not shop prepared foods because of the less then great experience, just try something different. I do recommend !

    Heaven! I'm so happy!

I'm here at least twice a week. Whatever I need (almost), is at this location. Their organic section is growing bigger. Hot food bar is ample for any in-a-pinch-and-running-late meals. The cheese department used to shred anything offered, now they don't. Deli does not carry Kretchmar, my preferred sliced meat. Bakery is A-OK with some beautiful cakes and cookies offered. Bread is fabulous with lots of choices. Check out lines are always (always) slow. Restrooms are poorly maintained. You need to watch your receipts, specials don't always ring as advertised. Beer selection is great. Parking is ample.

45 minutes waiting at the pharmacy drive-through. 4 cars ahead of me. Store is too crowded. Overpriced. Much better options out there.

She's a teenager, so we hardly need the child-proof lids. Sometimes we'll get the regular lids, sometimes we won't. I picked up three prescriptions one time and two had the child-proof lids and one didn't. I've asked them repeatedly not to give us the child-proof caps. I get a rather snotty answer that it's already noted on our profiles. The automated system drives us nuts. It calls when your prescription is ready, which is fine, but it will call for each and every individual Rx. So, if you're waiting on six, you'll get six automated calls, one after the other. The final straw for me, though, was when I went to pick up the kiddo's Rx today. It was called in to the pharmacy yesterday, but still wasn't ready by 11:30 this morning. When I got the automated call, we left to pick it up. We got to the pharmacy at 1:20 and waited in the drive-thru lane for 10 minutes behind two cars. When we FINALLY got to the window, they closed the curtains and told me they were going to lunch! They seriously would not give me the Rx. I was told to come back later after 2:00. (I did, but the line of cars wrapped around the building, and I had just bought ice cream at the store. If it took ten minutes with two cars, I couldn't sit there with six cars ahead of me, so I left). We'll now be going to a different pharmacy for our meds. Unless it needs to be ordered, I should be able to get necessary meds in less than 24 hours from when the doctor calls it in.

This needs to be a two way street. My recent visit to this location just reinforced the notion that I am lumping them in with Kmart, Burger King, and Sears. Oldies, but not Goodies anymore. In other words, is anyone in management, or corporate, paying attention to the current retail times, or the overall weary condition of your stores, and staff? I was very discouraged by their photo developing system. Nothing appears to have changed with their system since the 1980s. I decided to move on to more modern-looking equipment, and products, at another establishment. During my shopping trip to this location, an announcement was repeated several times that the store was being monitored, and, rest assured, you can shop without fear. Two elderly women near me could not make out what was being said, so I kindly interpreted for them . Basically, you can shop here safely, and, while you are at it, don't think about shoplifting. I honestly do not care for this constant reminder. This location must have a high theft incidences or something. Drug stores are constantly trying to bring your business to them. Thank goodness there are other options in this category.

PS the workers don't care. The faster it goes, the quicker they can go in the back. The scan and go changed the game. No more waiting in lines and no more wondering if you over spent as you wheel your big cart to the front. Simple integration in their app and simple to use. I wish more stores could get on board. Plus... now the automatic exit scanners mean no more employee fumbling through your cart to scan the required number of items. Sam's knows what we need and they implement it.

Overall I enjoy going to Ferri's because it brings me back to when I was a kid going to the grocery store with my parents. They help customers out to the car if they need help which is great. In order to accomplish this goal, they went out and found the most arrogant, standoffish, elitist pharmacy technicians in the world, hired them, and told them to just go nuts. I figure this is the only possible reason that someone could be so unnecessarily rude. Well, Rite Aid, your experiment is working because this place is somehow still in business! At first, I could have sworn I'd done something to offend the lady working there when I went in because she was outwardly rude to me, but I couldn't figure out how saying, "Hi, I'm just here to pick up," could have been perceived as offensive. Then I thought, "maybe there's a long line behind me that she wants to address." Sure enough, nobody was there. So I tried to be understanding by assuming she was just having a rough day - we've all been irritated at work before and maybe not handled it well. Wrong again! My wife said she got the exact same treatment the next day. Mind you, I didn't even tell my wife about my experience the day before. In fact, she was treated so poorly that she thought the pharmacy technician was a racist (she's a minority, I'm not) until I informed her that the lady was equally abrasive to people of all colors. Which, I guess, is better? Just for some context here, I'm not the type to get easily offended. But I'm a firm believer that people should show one another even a modicum of basic respect. Apparently the staff at your local Rite Aid thinks differently though.
