MDN Studios is truly an amazing place to learn how to dance! I've danced in the past, but I had…read morenever professionally trained in salsa, so I was looking for a place where I could learn proper technique while still having fun. MDN has been exactly that. The instructors do an incredible job breaking down the moves, technique, timing, and especially musicality in a way that makes everything easy to understand. You learn not just what you're doing, but why you're doing it, which has made such a difference in my dancing. The prices are great, the instructors are welcoming, and the classes are genuinely so much fun. But what really makes MDN special is the community. You sign up thinking you're just going to learn salsa, and somehow you end up finding a community you never knew you wanted or needed. Joining MDN has honestly been one of the best decisions I've made. I've gained confidence, improved my dancing, met some amazing people, and found something that I genuinely look forward to every week. If you've ever been curious about salsa, whether you have dance experience or are completely new to dancing, I highly recommend giving MDN Studios a try. You won't regret it!

The things being said during class can sometimes be absurd and Inappropriate. Look at how they text me a year later, after joining a new salsa school. Very childish, and not what I want to deal with. Did I mention he likes to cheat on his wife with his students (especially the underage ones), which creates a lot of chaos and drama in the learning community. He met his wife in one of his classes when she was 16 years old aswell. When students are aware of his activities, he bans them from coming back to his school so the word never gets out. Very evil and coordinated, not a safe space.

I wanted to do a "special" dance with my son. The dance would start off as a regular slow mother-son wedding dance and then we would have surprised the guests with kicking the dance into something more lighthearted - a choreographed dance filled with a compilation of old "skool" songs and a variety of 80's dances such as the Snake and the Wop. Jose was awesome. He fabulously choreographed the dance for my son and I, then ever-so-patiently taught it to us during our one-on-two lessons. In the end, I could sense my son was a bit overwhelmed with trying to learn the dances while simultaneously planning his wedding with his bride-to-be so I scrapped the dance, telling my son we would do a regular mother-son dance together. It ended up being amazing since he incorporated the 2-step, and spins Jose had previously taught him for his wedding dance into our Mother-son dance. I've already inquired about the other classes that are taught here. They teach all different kinds on different days. I definitely recommend and I'll definitely be back to learn more.

There were a few places with great reviews but most of the moms that I knew sent their kids to DanceWorks for ballet / tap / etc. I was surprised by the lack of reviews but decided to try it out and WE LOVE IT! My daughter is always energized and happy leaving class and we are looking forward to their annual show in June where all classes get to showcase what they've learned. In addition, we just had my daughter's 6th birthday party here and I received multiple follow ups from parents telling me that their kids had so much fun at the dance party. I decided to add a review to help any parents out there who may not be aware of DanceWorks and may not hear about it through word of mouth. It's a wonderful place! Tip: Parking and the entrance is actually in the back.

I carry Danceworks in my heart now, and always! If I didn't live in California now, both of my kids would be dancing with her, 100%. Often at times you'll have the floor to yourself (which is kept in great shape) and have exclusive use of the sound system. When the floor is busy we've often been allowed in the smaller rooms (I only dance Latin anyway) at no additional cost or detriment. The only detriment to it now I see are the Friday night socials, which only allow newbies or those registered for their classes to go. Considering a few of my friends are in them and often go to this social, I'm kind of left out. On the other hand though, I could just as easily register for a class and go... The rest of the socials are great, but they do cater to an older crowd then you would typically at a bar scene. In summary: This is a great place for top dancesport competitors and people totally new to the ballroom scene.

She's been dancing well over 20 years so she knows what she's doing and how to run a class. She is very passionate about what she does and it shows on the dance floor. She is very flexible, easy going, accommodating and sensitive to the needs of all her students and just wants and brings out the best in them so that they can live a healthier life style and and feel great about themselves both inside and out (which they do). She doesn't pressure people to do more or go at her own pace either, just give her your best! Doesn't matter if you're a beginner, intermediate or expert dancer, she organizes her classes so that all levels of dancers feel comfortable with her routine. Her music selection is excellent too. Anyone who wants to work up a serious sweat while having fun doing it needs to take this class! Shes in the process of introducing MANY new and exciting features to her studio as well! What's nice is if we miss a class then we can make it up on Fridays....we call and ask to make sure first if they can accommodate her. It's at 545p-630p so perfect after work for me.
