Against our better judgment, we went with Whataburger's Dawsonville location. This might be my first review for them on Yelp, but it is not the first time there and all three times in the space of almost a year have been equally terrible. Let me put it in perspective... I spent several years of my childhood in Texas, where Whataburger is about as much as an iconic institution as Atlanta's Varsity. Imagine growing up and moving east where there's no Whataburger in your state. And then imagine joining the campaign to bring Whataburger here. Let's change that and take a native Georgian who grew up eating at The Varsity, who then moved to Texas, went YEARS without that nostalgic taste and the memories associated with it. Then, let's say someone decides to open a Varsity franchise in Houston Metro AND COMPLETELY DISGRACE THE MEMORIES OF YOUR CHILDHOOD. That's pretty much what the Dawsonville location has done all three times we've eaten there. I can only assume that they just don't care. It's not only that all three times the food has been old and cold... it's not only that the first time I ordered there for a pickup, and they let me sit for 30 minutes before handing my mysteriously lost order, with no offer to remake the old, cold, stale food... it's also that consistently all three times, the orders have been horribly wrong. As you can see from the picture, I ordered two double whataburgers, both with bacon, one with jalapeno, one without, and both with letttuce, tomato, onion, pickles and mustard, even though you can't see that part. We paid for the up charges. Total was $51 and some change. Pretty sure what I ended up with was not $51 worth. What I got, was three burgers... only one with bacon, all three with only ketchup. The handy thing about Uber Eats is that you can watch in real time where your delivery person is. Poor dude sat at that location for almost half an hour. Maybe he had dinner while he was there, I don't mind. But I'm 100 percent positive that he did not assemble or pack the order. So clearly he was not the issue. So not only did they get the order horribly wrong, but they made a guy who depends on tips, wait. Yes, we still tipped because we knew it wasn't his fault. And I know Dawsonville isn't a hub of activity at midnight on a Thursday morning, so I'm pretty positive they weren't just swamped, which was the excuse I got the first time my order was left sitting and also incorrect. At this point, I'd rather see that location shut down than allow them to further disgrace an iconic Texas institution. We won't be going back and I'll be sure to share my review on that location.

Some of them are harder than others to drive to from 400 depending on your direction. Lucky for me today I was headed north so Freddy's was an easy stop off. I went inside rather then drive thru because I needed to use the restroom. The restroom was tidy and clean. The restaurant is decorated with photos and such from the history of Freddy's these were interesting to look at while waiting for my food. I walked up to the counter to order, the person was nice and helpful explaining menu items. There are way more things on the menu than I was ready to try today. I went for the regular cheese burger meal. The burger was two crispy thin patties, two slices of cheese, pickles, onions, mustard. It was pretty good but salty. Fries were the delicious thin kind but could have been more crispy. It is the serene your own beverage station with diet Dr Pepper so that's great! The catsup pump was empty so the counter guy gave me some to go catsup packs. I decided to eat in my car because wanted to get going quickly. Overall it was a good experience and I will try again.

The employees were pleasant and prompt in their service. After placing our order, we looked for a table. There were a few occupied. There also were a few that needed to be wiped down. So we selected one of the remaining options. The food came out quickly. He took a bite and was immediately impressed. I noticed that my burger was wrong and had to take it back to be redone. They were apologetic about the mistake and worked quickly to fix it. Once I got the correct burger, I was able to finally get a taste. It was really good. Compared to other burger spots around, this is right near the top. I like that they have tater tots as an option instead of fries. They were perfect. The portion was great for lunch. I didn't have room for any of the dessert, but he did and said his sundae was great!

I was driving home from the airport and feeling a little hungry so I decided to give Arby's a try…read more As I always say, order from the app an you get a better deal. I've been reading about the gyro and mozzarella sticks but didn't want to eat that in the car because it sounded messy so I ordered a beef n Cheddar instead lol. So if you get the double meat fries and a drink that costs $12 and that's not too bad so I ordered that on the app. Going to pay the app tells me that because I spent more than $10 I can get a free sandwich. I looked through the sandwiches and saw I could get a 1/2 pound beef and cheddar for free so I did! This was a bad move because I got two of what were the same thing. Duh. I ordered from the parking lot so I went in, washed up, and waited a couple minutes for my order. That was plenty fast. The restaurant was clean. The condiment bar had pumps for all the sauces but I took packets because I was driving. The double meat I customized to come on a sesame bun which turned out to taste better to me than an onion bun. With two packs of Arby's sauce that cuts the salt from the meat and it tastes pretty good. The half pounder is just ridiculous. It is the messiest thing I ever ate in a car, it is almost soup! It is hard to tame the salt in the meat. The Curley fries were as crispy and seasoned as they ever are and were good too. Hey here's the kicker - the soda bar has diet Dr Pepper! Yes! oh what a great beverage to go with the meal. I am never going to get that huge sandwich again, but I am going to get the gyro and mozzarella sticks next time!

I never leave negative reviews, but I had one of the most unpleasantly disappointing experiences…read moreI've ever encountered at a restaurant at this Arby's around 7:30 PM--especially over an issue that should have been easily resolved. I was picking up dinner for my dad, who is bedbound and relies on me for care. He's always loved this location, especially for the milkshakes and his favorite corned beef Reuben sandwich, so even though it's a 25-minute drive from my house, I wanted to bring him something special. From the start, things just felt off? The person taking orders at the drive-thru sounded like she did *not* want to be there. She quickly rushed me through my order, and barely let me finish before cutting me off! When I finally got the food, it was cold and they forgot both a cookie and some chicken tenders. I know mistakes happen, so I called the restaurant to let them know what happened and hopefully get it sorted out. The manager's response honestly shocked me. Instead of trying to help, he asked me if there was "actually something he could help me with," after I explained the situation! Unreal.. It felt like he just wanted me off the phone. When I asked if I could be reimbursed for the missing items and cold food, he didn't offer any solution other than "so is there actually something I can help you with"!! I couldn't believe my ears. Then, when I asked for his name, he hung up on me. When I tried calling back, he refused to take my call. I even tried calling the customer service line, hoping they would rectify the situation ... Unfortunately, I wasn't reimbursed for anything. They said they'd send me a free sandwich card, which apparently takes 4 to 8 weeks to arrive. That just doesn't feel like much of a resolution, especially when all I wanted was a hot meal and a little kindness for my dad. I get that people have rough days and mistakes happen--I really do. But the way this was handled was just unacceptable. I've always appreciated this Arby's for making my dad happy, but after this experience, I honestly don't know if I'll be coming back. I hope management takes this seriously and retrains the staff, because no customer--especially someone just trying to bring a little joy to a loved one--should be treated this way.
