Very nice hotel on the outskirts of the tourist zone. One of the newer ones built in an old factory. I feel like every building in Ghent starts out with "this was once an old factory," but I digress. Has the feel of more of a business hotel than a tourist one, which is nice. Really quiet at night, but still just a 5 minute walk from a good number of bars and restaurants.
Rooms are clean and fairly modern. Bathrooms are nicely furnish with plenty of counter and under sink space for all those toiletries when you're traveling. The mattress is really firm though, FYI. We had a room on the canal which was really pretty. You do get some boat noise from the tours during the day, but they stop when the sun goes down and it's fun to watch them go buy.
They have a breakfast here, but my wife and I opted to skip it for the €21 it costs. There is also a happy hour with half priced drinks that seems like a better deal. A small fitness center is downstairs; great for burning off some of those Belgian chocolates.
They have a computer with a free printer, great for buying and printing those train tickets before going to the station, which we took advantage of as well. read more
