getvisibleweb.com = Scam About 4 months ago I got a call from a "representative" from Getvisibleweb.com; the "representative" offered me the best deal for S.E.O. service that I could imagine. For $100 a month they would do full S.E.O. service for my website and get me on the first page on Google. After paying $100, they offered me 3 months service for $250 and results or money back guaranteed. After I made the payment, they kept calling me and offering me "extras" to get better results, and I left it clear that I wouldn't spend any more money until I see some results (website on the first page on Google). They stopped contacting and I was obligated to call them to ask for reports of work that they were supposed to do; they had the guts to send me the same report over and over again in a different arrangement. I didn't have no choice, but hire a serious S.E.O. company and I found out that they didn't do any work at all (I kinda was expecting that).I called getvisibleweb.com in "California" (I think there is a city in India called California) and the Indian company didn't refund me the money. I had to cancel my bank card to avoid further surprises, and from now on, I will never use a (foreigner) company again without recommendation; if they take your money and don't deliver the service, there isn't much that we can do. Obs.: One month after cancelling the services, Getvisibleweb tried to take money from my account; since I cancelled my cards they were NOT able to take more money from me. I am a landscape gardener and earn less than $40,000 AU per year before tax. They were extremely misleading from the beginning to the end. I am still in the process of trying to remove the website they created. They made many promises that they could not keep and also a string of on-going mistakes were made on a regular basis. They asked for the details that should be listed on the website and did the complete opposite from what I asked, Including listing my home address on the website. Apparently I do not qualify for a refund even though they did not full-fill their promises. Just to name a few mistakes they made- 1.) When first contacted by Getvisibleweb, I was quoted a price and a for the initial website and also the SEO settings to gain first page positioning on google. They then tried to change/ increase the prices thinking that I would not notice. 2.) I was told initially that within 3-4 weeks my business would be on the first page of google. Then after the 4 weeks they said it would take 8 weeks, and this continued. 3.) I was asked to answer a list of business details that they would use for the website and SEO settings which I answered all in writing (email typed document) that also included the keyword settings that I knew prospective clients would type to find business's such as mine however, I received a phone call about 3-4 weeks later asking for the same details that they had already received, They told me there was a technical error and the information was lost. 3.) I specifically asked them to only use information and photo's from my previous free wix website as I knew what important information clients here in my region of Australia need to know however, they created a website full of misleading information that was not even relevant to my business including a photo of a guy hosing his roof with a normal garden hose which was suppose to indicate that I provide a pressure-cleaning service. Too many content mistakes to mention, the list goes on. 4.) In the document that I emailed including my business details, I had specified to not list my home address as I provide a mobile service only. My home address was on the website for months after I told them of this mistake. After each mistake, I was told 'We are very sorry and it will never happen again'. It kept happening. During our phone communication almost every time they asked me for information that I had already supplied them with in regards to my website preferences. 6.) How I think they really fooled me was that after almost 3 months of signing up they sent me a report of the keyword settings and the page my business was listed in on google. One set of two keyword was successful in getting my business to the 1st page however, it was not a keyword that any client would type to search for the services I provide. It was not one of the keywords I had specified in writing and it was obvious that the only reason my business was on the first page of google was because no-one else in their right mind would actually type these words in to look for business's such as mine. This was when I decided to pull the plug as it was obvious Getvisible was not, and still is not providing a genuine service. I have asked repeatedly for a refund however, they told me that they have completed everything they said they would. How do people like this sleep at night? So upsetting and it has been stressful and damaging to my business! Google and if you do not speak with them your business will be marked permanently closed on Google. Multiple times when they've called I've blocked their # on my phone or pressed the button to be removed from their calling list and it obviously hasn't worked so actually pressed to speak with someone today. I had to speak with four different people to get them to quit hanging up the phone on me when I asked to be placed on the do not call list. He was still trying to tell me that businesses are marked permanently closed on Google all the time - yes this does happen but calling people with a recording that tells them they will be marked as such if they don't talk to them is deceptive. A Google Business listing is free to complete and any reputable company will not charge to work with a client on this listing and will offer it as a part of their marketing services. Also, if you Google search this company's business name their scam reports come up before their website yet they want to sell SEO services when they can't even get their own website to rank at the top of the search results when searching the business name. It's unfortunate that companies like this exist that can take advantage of business owners who may not be familiar with legitimate SEO or online marketing services. read more
