My grandmother called for me to come in to get my tire plugged. They said I could stop by and they'll look at it. I arrived maybe 5 minutes after that phone call. I never use this gas station, so I pulled in and spoke to the gas attendant. I told him what I was there for and he directed me to the open mechanic garage door. He then proceeded to walk in and speak to a group of men inside. He walked by me and said nothing more. Mind you it's 90 & humid out. I also have my toddler in the car. We sat and waited for further instruction considering the man that just helped me walked away. A few men inside peeked over at my car, smirked and laughed and continued to talk amongst themselves. Okay...? Before I could pull off because I sat there already for almost 5 minutes. An older man, who I now know is the owner came up to my window yelling at me. Demanding why I was "just sitting there". Yelling why was I there, and what I wanted from him. I said sir, your employee spoke to me and told me to pull in front of the garage. He went inside and spoke to someone and then walked out. The owner continued to yell at me saying "why are you speaking to him, he knows nothing!". I then stated that he needed to train his employees then. He was also yelling about closing at 3. I said sir, my grandmother called you and told you the situation with my car. You told her to tell me to come right in, which I did. If time was an issue, you should've told us to come another day. He then walked back into the garage after demanding what I needed. He was speaking to someone, but at this point I'm heated and in disbelief of his attitude. I was getting ready to pull off and he tells me to pull inside. So I did... he tells me to exit my vehicle but before I did he seen that I was getting ready to remove my toddler from the back. He then proceeded to say "oh you have someone with you? Stay inside". I'm thinking "okaaaay?". His mechanic then says "don't be scared, I'm going to lift you". I'm think with what a car jack? Nope! He lifts me up on the machine 10ft or more above the ground! With my child and I inside! I was so livid and shocked! This can't be legal right?! After a few minutes, we were lowered. I called my husband while suspended in the air to tell him what was happening. After being lowered I was so pissed that I had no words. The owner told me it was on him, not to pay because "we had a good day today". I won't be back. read more

My 83 year old mother had a broken windshield wiper, raining and she was pressed for time to get somewhere. the guys working here were efficient, competent reasonably priced and changed the wiper in less than 10 minutes for $15. I appreciate people with a good work ethic and not opportunistic. thank you. read more

brought my BMW 550i here for repair for which the dealership quoted $1675 belt and water pump. Arrif and his mechanic Louise quoted me $375 cheaper and did the work in 3 days. I am listing this comment after 6 weeks as a job well done. On my wife 2006 Hyundai sonata they replaced the shocks and transmission fluid for much less than dealer quoted ( Connicelli ) it drives beautifully and has 232K miles on it. Getty has been servicing last 4 years. No Issues. Owner is a bit abrupt but straight up. read more

I would never go back for repairs. $600 to replace rear brakes and rotors but car wasn't drivable so he had me and knew it. Although, in retrospect I should have had it towed somewhere else. Owner was very hostile when all that I was looking for was an estimate of time to fix so that I could decide to wait with my two small children or try to get a ride home and ballpark cost to fix. Gas is great (and guy with Neil Young hair is very nice) but service, my opinion is look elsewhere. I hate to leave a negative review but this one still irks me. read more

Can't comment on the gas, but would not recommend this place for mechanical work to ANYONE. If you value your car, or even your life, don't go here! Quick background: I bought a car from a nearby used car dealer and within the first month the head gaskets blew. The car was still drivable and ran fine, but I knew the head gasket was going to need to be replaced eventually. Since it was within the first month, they offered to pay for 50 percent of it if done through their mechanic. Since, this was such an expensive repair, I decided to use their mechanic, which was this getty. To start, the price this place was charging wasn't cheap, it wasn't unreasonable, but they were charging a little bit more than the authorized dealer for my car. It took way too long for them to finish the job, which I know is a complicated job, but they had my car for about 3 weeks! They emphasized that they wanted to make sure it was "done right". Keep in mind, the getty was still getting the full price for this repair so not sure why it wouldn't be high priority. I finally go to pick my car up and as I am driving it home, I noticed my car had that loud muffler sound which it hadn't had before. At this point, I am just thankful to have my car back after having to rely on taxis and public transportation to get to work the past couple weeks. So, I figured I would just wait and call the place the next day. As I am driving into work the next morning, my car just breaks down, thankfully not on a main road or else this could have been much worse. I am able to get it to start back up enough to drive to to a parking spot(of course my car is making very loud metal smashing sounds and clearly not drivable). I called the place I got my car from and they sent a tow out. It turns out, the exhaust pipe had become detached from my car(not sure how they messed up to make this happen). And, my car was leaking antifreeze, due to the mechanic tying one of the hoses too tight so it snapped. Thankfully, the place I got my car from was able to fix these things in house. However, the getty did a terrible job on my car, i'm not even sure if the head gasket job was done correctly. For them to give me my car back in that condition, was really appalling, I could have got into a serious accident! So, no I would not recommend this place to anyone. It took them 3 weeks, for them to give me my car back worse than before. The place I got my car from tried to say they usually do a good job and they must have had someone inexperienced working on my car. However, after reading other reviews, this seems to be the norm at this screwed up place. Update: The head gasket job was not even done correctly, so basically they just took my money to screw my car up. Places like this, that intentionally damage your car are the reason people are skeptical of mechanics. read more

Hit or miss. It's the cheapest gas in town but it's full service. If you get the guy with long hair who kind of reminds you of an oversized, denim-clad muppet, you're golden. He's the man, he's super friendly, he gets at least a dollar tip from me every time. But there's this one guy who tells everyone who gets gas there that their windshield is a little cracked, and that he needs to fix it for you before it gets worse. This has happened to several of my friends as well, and when I dealt with him, he wasn't just annoying, he was really rude about it. Motherf***er, there are no cracks in my windshield, not even the tiniest little fracture. Leave me the hell alone, I hope you get fired. read more

Worst customer service I ever had! I asked the guy to help me with fixing the plate on my car, and his response was rude!

It's a terrible place. Don't go here if you are trying to fix your car. They did more damages to my car's paint and it's costing me more to fix it at a different location. This is just a gass station but not a body shop!!!!! They don't know how to fix cars!!! read more

Full "service" if your definition of service is waiting 3 minutes for the attendant and then being barked at as if you are wasting his time.

I have to say that it is insanely convienient to go here: they pump your gas for you and it's literally up the street from my house. HOWEVER, they are more than rude they are abrasive and nasty. The one guy that works here argued with me about MY OWN ZIPCODE!! They guy who runs the place is a scam artist. Don't go here if anything is actually wrong with your car. read more

I've been going here reliably for 8 years. But essentially only for gas. I will drive out of my way to go here for gas bc it's fast and full service and the only place where full service gas is not more expensive. As for service on cars, once I had a flat tire and they fixed it for essentially for free but the impression that was left on me was that the employee absolutely HATED, and I mean would butcher the owner with a knife kind of hate. I was only there for a few minutes and when I went in to pay, the way I heard the owner speak to me and to complain about another customer and also about the same employee (who I throughly as smart and pretty awesome).... I could really relate to why he would feel such rage working for the owner. So I still get gas there but if you've had issues with the service there, it's because of the owner -- it always begins with the owner and Managemwnt. read more

Cheap gas but the service can be bad. The owner is a jerk who yells at his employee while he sits on his fat ass in the shop. He motioned for me to move my car after the engine was off and there was no one else in the lot, so I drove off to the next station. This guy has some nerve... Full service gas station. So you stay in your car and they do all the work. Now that is just cool. Especially when it is FREEZING! Poor service attendant. Talk about feeling like a spoiled brat. I most definitely can't object. read more

Cheapest gas on the strip in Conshy. People can be grumpy. I try to time my gas getting for elsewhere but this place is fine in a pinch.

While it's true that the gas is cheap, this is a shady place. I typically get my gas from the long-haired man who looks like the dude from the big lebowski. He's super nice and always pleasant. The other guy however is incredibly rude, so much so that I decided to go to another gas station instead of dealing with him. Although I purchased no gas, he charged my credit card $10! Since then I have had a lot of suspicious activity. I cannot prove that it was the ghetto Getty guy, but I'm pretty sure it's no coincidence. Beware! I'm going in today to talk to Ali. Hopefully this guy won't work there much longer. read more

When my car's trans died on I-476 just before Exit 16, I asked Ali to tow it to his shop. Without looking at the transmission (the car's battery was drained by blinkers by then), not even the trans fluid level, they quoted $2,700. Another thing that made me uneasy was that Ali was pressing to do this as soon as possible, although this could be interpreted charitably as concern for us being without a car. Their towing charge was $125 for less than 4 miles. Ali said it's free if I choose them to do the work, but when I asked what if I go elsewhere, he said something to the effect that the charge would be reasonable. Have had all my vehicles serviced here, some with major problems. First was my Mercedes. then my Lincoln now my Chrysler 300. Here's my feelings about most service stations. They're either incompetent or dishonest or both. Ali has always been fair and honest with me. He's always fixed what needed to be fixed and nothing more. I know people who got quotes from others and Getty did the same work for much less. I've recommended other customers to him. One thought he had a rear seal leak from the transmission which would have been hundreds of dollars to fix. But Ali and his mechanic found that the problem was only a small leak in the steering fluid line. My friend's total bill was under 40 bucks! Most service stations would have ripped him, or most any woman off. Thanks Ali for being AAA! read more

The mechanics at this Getty are very nice and helpful. My driver's side mirror was hit for the second time in 2 months and they gave me the best deal compared to every other shop around. They ordered the mirror and painted it to match my car in 2 days, plus the installation only took 10 mins. Then while I payed, they buffed the door since there was several scratches for free. I would definitely recommend them! read more

I took my car here for PA state inspection. I knew I needed a headlight replaced and asked if they could take care of it. A few months later, the same bulb seemed like it was out again. I purchased a bulb and went to replace it, only to discover that the bulb was not the problem. They had not correctly reattached the bulb in the socket, and there is a spring clip missing. The bulb is just kind of sitting in the socket, not secured by anything. Awesome. The clip is a pain to reattach, so if you're into cutting corners, I can see why you wouldn't want to bother reattaching correctly. Unfortunately, you can't buy a replacement spring clip, you have to buy a new headlight assembly. $365 at the dealership (I got and aftermarket one for $90 online), and my car won't pass inspection without it! I'm furious!!!! This guy's shoddy work cost me almost $250.00 after labor. Would never go there again. read more
