The store was clean and bright with a good selection of food, drinks, and other road trip/convenience store basics. Bathrooms were clean. Cheeseburgers, spicy Chicken Sandwiches, and fries all made to order and hit the spot.

I am patiently waiting for Illinois to get some gas stations that have good food. We were on a road trip and needed gas; lucky for us, it was lunchtime and we were near a Sheetz. I had not tried Sheetz before but I had watched my fair share of tiktoks about Sheetz dining. We grabbed some drinks for the road and ordered a burger, a brat and some fries. The fries were seasoned so well. We contemplated getting another order but decided against it. The brat was really good; it reminded me of a brat we would get at a hockey or baseball game. The burger was just okay. Employees were nice, the gas station has a million different food and drink options and the hot food area was clean and fast.

I sat at the table and just watched them cut my pizza (keep in mind it was not busy) and them just saying, "Oh, looks like they need an App Sampler too. Oh well." Team member Emile then proceeded to NOT make it or even look to see if she can make it. Five minutes goes by, she finally looks and finds the apps for the App Sampler and hands me my food. The efficiency of this team is appalling. I'm more nervous on how they do during a rush.

But when you live in Ohio City and your closest gas stations make you feel like you might get mugged, stabbed and left to die on a daily basis, this little gem in Mentor can seem really nice! This coming from someone who choses to live in an urban environment and runs scared of suburbia. I'm not sure what other gas stations (other than the sub shop at GetGo) let you punch in your food on an ordering screen, just the way you like it, and get it made for you within 5 minutes. Also, love their healthier food options, like to-go fruits and veggies. Check out their wall'o slushies and milkshakes, too. Occasionally they have a low cal strawberry banana slushy that is heavenly. They also have a large wine selection, for a gas station, that is. How can you beat that? Also, I'd don't think I've seen so many different fresh, hot coffee varieties in any gas station before. Are you savoring fresh, locally-grow produce and nibbling on vegetarian-fed, cage-free meats? Probably not. But is it better than the ghetto, scary gas stations and even some of the nicer ones out there, combined? Yes. Double bonus? No ATM fees on their end! WOO!
