Amazing gym! Love the energy and facility. The trainers are all clearly passionate and knowledgeable.

I asked the desk , to check and remind others of the process, and after my workout, they claimed to have looked and didn't see a problem. There clearly was a problem when I had 4 different people sitting on stations not moving that I had to ask to move or dodge around. Of course I get looked at as the bad person instead of the employee who should police it closer than 1 time after a complaint. If one of the three workers did check, it was a shoddy check for a brief moment (I never saw them). Of course the front desk MANAGER supported the employee checker which further shows me there isn't much care for the facilities and clients as intended. After my workout, I was told they will check the rest of the night knowing it doesn't help my situation today. A simple apology would have been nice with a "we will do better next time." Kindness can go a long way. The desk even got my request for a hydro chair wrong (which had a wait time and is understandable). Listening to customers also goes a long way. Fortunately, there are other planet fitnesses to visit. I'd steer clear of here if it is an option for you because there are many other locations that show much more caring.

If you want to chase people away--right away...especially Catholics, Christians, and Muslims who esteem Jesus/Issa--this is the way to do it. I asked the attendant to kindly reduce the bass. He touched some buttons, but there was no change to volume or bass level. I suspect he was trolling me. I challenge PF corporate managers with this experiment: play this music on speakers all day in their offices and homes loud enough to play over their own earphones at full volume. See how long they can stand it, how productive they are, how it affects their mood and that of their co-workers and loved ones. Of course, they'd never do that, because people would quit and beg for relief. But they'll inflict this knowingly on paying members. Why? Even if this were the world's most wonderful, honorable music, the oppressive volume levels would be enough to drive people mad, because there's no way to drown it out, and the staff seem to enjoy not helping you. Best choice: leave

Unfortunately this is not the case at O'hare crossfit. I spoke with a coworker of Angelo's on Friday March 13 about some sexually inappropriate comments that Angelo Sisco had made during the course of the class hoping to nip it in the bud. Unfortunately, on Monday March 15 Angelo continued to make some more comments that I alone disapproved of and made me feel uncomfortable, bordering on the line of sexual harassment. I thought about his comments for the next day and decided to text him letting him know that I disapproved of his comments that were sexual in nature while I was working out in the same class as my dad and if he'd refrain from making such comments while I was working out with my dad. He said he would get back to me the following afternoon but never did. I went in to class today and was informed that my membership had been cancelled without any explanation. I considered Angelo a close friend for many years and never discredited him from helping me get to where I'm at today. If, as a business owner, let alone a friend, you cannot communicate with your clients or your friends in an open manner and immediately ban them from your business without hearing or listening to their concerns then you should not be in business. I have seen this person's true colors and how he operates in situations where he is in the wrong. I went in today with the best intentions hoping to put this behind us, as it was not as drastic or nearly dramatic as to what he made it out to be however, I feel that in order to protect my good character and forewarn any other client that may be offended or have any valid concerns to please proceed with caution. I never attacked his character, for he has none. I am disheartened that someone would go to such extremes but I do understand and people that do not conduct themselves in a professional and honorable manner in front of clients own family and friends is one that should not be trusted. It is important to own up to your actions, especially in moments when you are wrong. No one is perfect. I have seen a side of this person and am shocked to learn that he is the complete opposite what he practices and preaches. I have learned a valuable lesson and that is to always watch what comes out of my mouth, treat people with the utmost respect that I value and care about and own your mistakes. I hope no one ever has to experience the disgusting nature of this person like I did. Furthermore, I don't expect anyone to quit either. I just want to put out there my experience after having been a member for so many years and the abhorrent treatment I received.

Nice walking track but somewhat monotonous as it's 15 laps to a mile - it can get old fast unless there's an interesting game going on on the basketball court below. Clean and bright. Not sure how busy the fitness equipment gets since I haven't been in that space but I did see lots of people headed that way so it seems large enough. Nice addition to Oak Park if you live or work nearby.

They've recently added machines to the fitness center which, while adds to the variety, also minimizes the space. There fitness center is quite small, clean, and has 3 sanitizing stations to spray down the equipment. There is also an attendee, or two, at the front entrance, and a couple of (muted) TVs. Unlike a conventional fitness center, there is no music played, so headphones are encouraged, and they don't have AC or fans. There are also small lockers available. The walking path is exactly as it sounds. It's a clean walking path, with a few lanes, and a large clock so you can keep track of time. There is also a sanitizing station there, a couple of mats (for stretching), and a punching bag. It smells a bit like rubber, but that's due to the path itself. The gym is divided into 2 spaces. It's a pretty standard gym offering volleyball, basketball, pickleball, open gym, etc. (There are schedules to notify you of what is available.) If you're looking for a typical fitness center experience, this is not the place for you. You should not expect it to compete with, or compare it to, Planet Fitness, LA Fitness, Xsport, etc. It's a community recreation center. I've found that my experience varies depending on how many people are there and, more specifically, on what machines. As I stated, space is limited in the fitness center. I wish they did have a few mounted fans, or AC, to move some air around.
