Jane and Rodney were a great officiant and DJ for my wedding. As an officiant, Jane did a great job of running our ceremony and providing a script that was very well written for my bride and I. Jane also presented well and projected loudly to our guests at our ceremony in a room where there were high ceilings and a little bit of noise from other areas. Jane did an overall great job of running the show and keeping everything and everyone in order as my wife and I liked. Rodney and Jane as DJs later that night did a great job of keeping our guests engaged, accommodating music requests, and bringing great equipment that led to a fun environment for dancing and memories. Jane and Rodney were also very flexible with us in our music choices and had great recommendations on songs we should use on our day. They even were able to throw in a few tips on first dance techniques. They both were very relaxed and had a great sense of humor that was helpful on our day. My husband and I used Jane & Rodney for our March wedding at Starved Rock Lodge and they were wonderful. They gave us song suggestions for our ceremony & reception and also took in to account our preferences. On the day of, Jane took care of the show - she told us where to go and what to do - she helped move everything along throughout the night. Rodney was also great with the music, guests were out on the dance floor all night long. He played a wide variety of music and also played guest requests. Jane also officiated our wedding and it was awesome. It was very positive and upbeat and several guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. As soon as Drew and I started the planning process for our wedding we knew we wanted Rod and Jane to DJ for us. We actually coordinated the date around their schedule to make sure they had a night they were available. We envisioned our reception to be the best dance party of the year; we had that and then some! If there were a sixth star, they would get that too. I was a guest at a wedding reception at the Starved Rock Lodge a couple weeks ago. The ceremony, for which Jane was the officiant, was beautiful and struck just the right balance of secular and religious for the group present. The reception was an absolute blast! I love to dance, but married a man who does not. The tunes were all fun from a whole host of genres and periods, and they played two of my requests. Rodney and Jane were absolutely AMAZING. They not only DJ'd our wedding but Jane officiated our ceremony as well. Along with fixing the bustles of my dress in the middle of the ceremony. THEY DO IT ALL! We had numerous guests tell us our wedding was the best wedding they had ever been to and I owe a lot of that to Rodney and Jane. The dance floor was packed until the very end. Get Up and Dance does an outstanding job! We had them for our wedding reception and I have also seen them in action in various other formats, including corporate/work functions. Just terrific people who will do anything for you. They take pride and extreme joy in what they do. Happy to know them and would re-book immediately if/when I need this service again! Can't go wrong. Jane and Rodney were perfect for our wedding! From start to finish they were extremely flexible, professional and all around awesome to work with. Jane and Rod are the best! For one, Jane made us cookies when we went to her house for our consultation appointment. I knew we made the right choice. They were very accommodating with all our weird requests for music. Jane even went beyond her DJ role and helped all the guys get their boutonnieres on, and whipped everyone into line before the ceremony. They have a knack for reading the crowd, knowing what's working and what's not, and adjusting the music to fit the mood.
