I trained with Rob for a period of time when I was really dieting and trying to get fit…read more Rob was amazing at coming up with effective, unique, never boring ways to get me to take it to the next level. I have been working out on my own for too long to even mention, lest I date myself, so I know a lot about what types of exersize I like/dislike. I found that Rob is a TRUE professional who really knows his stuff and continually surprised and delighted me with the workouts he designed. I have worked with other trainers who pushed me so hard that I ended up injuring myself. Some of those injuries plague me to this day. Rob somehow knows how to listen and tell if you're just trying to slack a little, or if you've really reached your limit. He knows when to say when and when to push. The facilities are VERY clean, he has every type of equipment you could ever want, and then some you've never seen or heard of. The dressing rooms are very nice and well stocked. This is a much more personal, one on one experience for those who have tried "personal training" at a massive gym. Additionally, I trained with another one of Rob's trainers that he employs. She was amazing, and pushed just the right amount of time. Both of the trainers I worked with were always punctual and prepared. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone at any fitness level to come to Holladay Health and Fitness. Whether you are a beginner, or looking to get over your fitness plateau, or have a special even coming up where you really need to look your best, Rob and his team of trainers will help you attain your goals. Additionally, if you are an athlete, and are looking to get a competitive edge, Rob has specifically designed a high-intensity work out using core muscles and stability techniques that will help you to KICK some serious booty. Just sayin'. You're the best, Rob! :)

I didn't have any negative experiences here, this style of workout space just wasn't particularly for me. When you're a member, you have access to the studio at any time. They have a variety of workout classes in private heated rooms throughout the studio, and you book your time and the workout that you want. Different rooms had different equipment - there was a room for yoga, a room for spin, etc. They want you to purchase one of their mats for the yoga because the sauna is too hot for regular mats. You can adjust the temperature of the room to your liking. I believe each workout was 15-20 minutes long in a heated sauna room. You definitely get your sweat on, that's for sure! The rooms are small, but I believe you can technically fit up to 3 people in each one. I would personally never want to share that small of a space with someone, though. They also have some gym equipment in the back of the gym for a regular, non heated workout. I prefer group workout classes because of the energy of the room. I know several people that swear by sauna workouts, though!

I wish I could give TEN stars!!! This is the one and only gym I crave going to Seriously though,…read moreI started out at PW on a Groupon to try something new back in 2011. It is because of PW that I realized doing endless amounts of cardio and marathon running wasn't doing my body good. I started doing more weight lifting and HIIT with Pure and my body was freaking changing in ways it never had before! I had suffered from years and years of eating disorders, and PW honestly helped me have a healthier body image and relationship with my body. A class there is like the best therapy, because you are surrounded by people who are your family. They come from all different walks of life, different levels of fitness, and so much love and support. The owners are so invested in everyone who attends, and are always so welcoming. Back in 2014-2015 I trained for an NPC competition. Had I never gone to PW and been surrounded by so much encouragement, I would have never had the guts to step on stage. Judah helped train me and I had NEVER been in such amazing shape before. Not only that, but he and his wife Kira drove all the way to Colorado to support me and cheer me on in my first competition. Who does that?? The dedication and genuine care they have for everyone is beyond what you will find at any gym! I sadly haven't been able to attend PW much since moving and having a baby, but many of my dear friends are people I met through Pure. I still stay in touch with the owners and I still tell them all the time how much I miss going there. I was able to do an online fitness program through Kira which was amazing to help me work on losing that stubborn baby weight and stay motivated as a new mom, wife, and working woman. The tools I've learned through the years from Kira and Judah are invaluable, and I will always recommend this gym to anyone and everyone I come in contact with!

I myself started with a Groupon and never felt like I was treated badly. I'm here to stay! If anyone out there is interested in pushing themselves to the next level, I would highly recommend Pure Workout! Is it easy starting off? Hell no! I could barely do 5 pushups when I started and I'm up to 40 before I get really tired. I was totally out of shape, but persistence really paid off. Kudos to this amazing gym and the owners!
