Worst school picture I have ever seen. My son not smiling or looking at camera. Like who took it and thought this looks good.

I am sorry to say that, but I am very disappointed with the quality of graduation pictures this company did for Hollis Brookline High School this year (2024): - the only picture of my daughter walking out of the podium with her brand-new diploma has the girl with her eyes closed; - the high-resolution image of the whole class I got for $38.00 was a .jpeg file the size of 733 Kb and pixel size 2000x1600 pixels -- this is definitely not the high-resolution image; my outdated google phone makes a picture of 5 Mb which is more than 5 times larger; - when I called the customer support service, hoping to find out if it was a mistake with the image, and the wrong file was linked, I got an answering machine saying there was nobody there to answer. Please keep this in mind when you are ordering from this company, and in case the school has ordered their service for you, don't buy from them, make your own photos. Thanks, Anna read more

terrible!!! Unfortunately our son's high school for the last four years this company was our only option!! The quality is awful they don't even help the students smile pose , I waited for senior year book picture before I purchased anything !! Well long story short I decided to purchase and asked if they could make the picture look better qualit!! Unfortunately My IPhone would have done a better job! we don't recommend at all . AWFUL school photos year after year. Geskus is honestly one of the worst "professional" photography companies I've ever experienced. I'm sure it's not easy to take photos of elementary school children, but HOLY COW...the individual pictures were horrible and the class photos were even worse; it's almost comical how bad they were! The lighting is worse than a flip phone camera. I can't believe how much money this company charges and that schools continue to use them. Several of our friends also received horrible school photos. Why? I understand when trying to take pictures of elementary school kids that they don't always behave the best. The photographer that takes kids pictures( if that's the line of work they're in) should be able to work with kids. Geskus, hired by my kids school, seems uncaring and must want to get through the day as fast as possible as none of the pictures ever look good. If a kid is making a weird face retake the picture.? The retakes were just as bad. My kids will no longer be participating with Geskus for school pictures for that reason. I do hope the school my two boys go to chooses a different studio in the future. read more

Super unimpressed. They came and did pictures for my daughters school and the photo quailty was terrible. The editing was non-existant and the photos were bland and unprofessional. Luckily i am familiar with photo editing anf was able to fix them myself. read more

My school recently moved to this company for their school photos and they are terrible. The first year, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but 2 years in a row if just awful pictures proves this company doesn't know how to photograph children. I have 4 kids, so I'm not just seeing one or two as a reference, ALL 4 are terrible! read more

I was pretty unimpressed with my daughter's picture, even after the retake. I have a very photogenic child and I've had many professional pictures of her taken. The first picture was about what you would expect from someone who lined up a bunch of kids and just rapidly went down the line taking pictures without even trying or thinking. The second picture was only slightly better, but I will probably never use it. I went elsewhere and had a very nice series of shots that I am using. I know some other parents in town who were underwhelmed with their child's pictures as well. Customer service is friendly enough, but nothing to write home about on the photographer in this area. I'm not sure that I will be purchasing anything from them in the future. read more

Spent $50 per kid per package for school pictures and they screwed up the background color next year probably just get our own school pictures done since these people can't understand certain background color also the picture is of poor quality shitty photography read more

Our photos got to us the day before re-takes. They don't care if they mess up, very unapologetic, and smart remarks even. You are never able to go back and see what you actually ordered. This company is not good at all. read more

1 star is being kind. Have had pictures done the past 3 years through our school and every year is a disaster. Background colors are faded or incorrect, they don't work to get the kids to smile, it's just sit and snap and move on. This year, pictures still haven't arrived even though they were taken 2 1/2 months ago and I was charged then as well and the school received them almost 3 weeks ago. I ordered online so they are supposed to ship to my house. Multiple calls to customer service only yields a "you will have them next week" and when I don't, I call back and get the same reply. Maybe I'll get them by the time he's in college??? Our school district has gone out to bid and you can bet I input my 2 cents as did multiple other parents. Don't waste your money and encourage your school to hire ANYONE else but these guys. read more
