I never…read moreeven knew this place existed until I was searching the net and then came across this place. I would strongly recommend this for age 7 - 10 though smaller ones are able to come along too, height restrictions do apply to certain parts of the adventure courses, so to avoid disappointed I would recommend you go onto their website and check first. This place is all about fun and fitness for the whole family. They have a massive high wire forest adventure course; which is set within the countryside and developed to encourage you to get moving, and trust me by the end you the adventure a good cuppa and sleep is what you'll need, though if it is for the family then keeping the kids active by getting them tired then Jungle Parc is the place to bring them. It is a very safe environment and with all the proper equipment it is very enjoyable. The X-plorer course is for anyone over 1.35m in height and the Adventurer course is for children from 4 years old and with minimum height of 1.05m. The Jungle Parc is situated in Croxteth Country Park which is only 10 minutes from the city centre.

The site is generally an incredible place for outdoor activities for those looking to burn off more than a bit of energy (adults and children alike). The premises consists of two different courses: X-Plorer course and Adventurer course (for the little ones). Each course is ideally designed with a practical element, almost like an assault course but with the fun involved. There are 40 amazing activities to enjoy as you glide through trees on rope bridges, zip lines and cargo! It definitely sounds exciting as it really is. Adults are just £20 and Juniors £15. Prices include full training and all equipment to make sure you are fully prepared and safe. Not bad at all for an adventourous day in jungle like surroundings.

So off we go, it was a Saturday and gorgeous weather. So, we were hoping that it wouldn't be too busy given it was a Saturday and not raining. Well we weren't disappointed, although fairly busy, the farm staff were well organised and kept all us all in check. The kids and I started off on the steam train, with the idea that we would get a good idea of where everything was from the ride (well this is what I thought), the kids were more concerned with just going on a train. Half way around we stopped off at the Lake View and the kids played while I chilled out and absorbed the view. After that we got back on the train and finished the journey. The farm has some pedal tractors that kids use to go around the farm on. They looked great fun to me, but I had so much trouble convincing my friends kids that they should try them too. So after much convincing and no way forward, I gave up and instead they went off to the Children's Pet Area where they got to feed and play with the animals. A great day out and thoroughly enjoyed by us all.

I love this farm. A day trip today was no exception! My other half and I are both animal lovers and…read morewhile we didn't take kids with us, it's a perfect day out for kids. First off when you arrive parking is easy enough with plenty of space. Entry is £6 for adults (£7.50 for kids, and there's family ticket and concessions too). It's £1 for three bags of food (which is well worth it!) There's a small café as well as plenty of picnic benches near the entrance along with a kids playground. Just before the barn, quite often they have birds of prey in or creepy crawlies, both of which have been there on previous trips and you're allowed to get hands on. In the farm itself you can see pigs, donkeys, deer, llamas, alpacas, horse, cows, goats and all the sheep! New this year were also wallabies. They have lamb feeding at set times that you can get involved in too. They've also grown a maze made out of maize which is good fun. Finally there's a small train that you can jump on if your little ones are a bit tired!

Especially when you look through the floor/net to see the floor of the cavern a long long way down. The only thing missing was some music to jump to. This is the only one of its kind in the world apparently so pretty special. It's a really hard workout too, even the regular exercisers needed a few sit downs! You keep getting up again though as it's so much fun! We kept falling over all the time as it's quite hard to keep your balance, I don't know how some people were playing rugby! Helmets and boiler suit were a good idea although it all got a bit sweaty. I went with a group of 10 and only 1 person didn't enjoy it, so pretty good odds. The person that didn't like it has a real fear of heights and didn't really enjoy the bouncing much either. I do have a bit of a fear of heights too and am also slightly claustrophobic but I definitely enjoyed it. I did struggle a bit with the netting slides but once done they're fine :) One of my friends did say though that some people were coming down the climbing up chutes as that's the only option apart from the slides to get back back down. A less daunting third option would be good please!

For £25 you get an hour's trampolining, bouncing from cavern to cavern, climbing up ladders and snaking down tubular slides from level to level. Make sure you have trainers on and some light clothing too, as you'll get so hot with all the bouncing about. Safety helmets (and attractive hairnets) are compulsory and the safety briefing is pretty comprehensive too. The age range in there is brilliant - grandparents bouncing alongside kids. If you want to make a day of it, there's plenty of other activities on site too - from Europe's tallest zip wire, to a quarry explorer 4x4 trip. Café on site too - predictably on the pricey side but clean and roomy. Definitely worth a visit!

The entrance has now changed so there's no chance of sneaking in anymore, however when you pay you get your hand stamped and this stamp allows you to leave and re-enter again as many times as you like on that day. As has been mentioned in previous reviews admission to Seaquarium is not cheap. Prices are adults £7.99, children £6.99 or a family ticket £27.99 for 2010. Too be honest it's not worth that much. Fortunately the weekend before I visited with my daughter I picked up a copy of a free events magazine called "Raring 2 Go" which included a voucher to get free admission for a child with a paying adult so we paid a far more reasonable £7.99 for both of us. UPDATE - You can also download a printable 2 for 1 voucher from the Raring 2 Go website (http://www.raring2go.co.uk/offerMenu.php?#offers) . As the name suggests the aquarium is devoted to sea creatures rather than freshwater animals. You'll see a variety of fish including lion fish, clown fish, sharks, rays and conger eels. Other exhibits include crabs, lobsters, starfish and octopi. There is also an outdoor area with sealions and seals. Shows are put on at set times during the day and there is a seated area if you want to watch. This is actually quite good, I've seen the sealion show at Colwyn Bay Zoo several times and it can be difficult, especially for small kids, to find a decent viewpoint there. The banked arena here means that there is no problem with seeing the display. The aquarium is set out as a trail and the final section takes you through the underwater tunnel where you can watch the fish, including sharks, swin over your head. As you leave the underwater tunnel you find yourself in the middle of the canteen. Presumably the idea is to encourage you to stay for lunch. You can also have a browse in the gift shop which is next to the canteen. All in all an expensive but enjoyable hour or so but if you are planning to visit my advice would be to visit the Tourist Information Centre beforehand and try to find a copy of 'Raring 2 Go". I'll give it four stars but would have been three if I'd had to pay full price.

The walkthrough where you can see all the fish swimming around you is fantastic. I found that a big plus for me was also the gift shop, it was not big but ample in size and had some lovely gifts. All in all, not the best aquarium i have been to but i enjoyed it and was glad i went.

These are great places for the kids, put a child under ten on a bouncy castle for an hour and they'll be more than satisfied, but as a parent the novelty wears off after thirty or forty visits. So when it was our turn to host we looked for somewhere different and the newly opened Arty Party caught our attention. The business is located on the A470 in the centre of the village of Glan Conwy. At most times on-street parking is easy to find nearby and it's also about sixty seconds walk from the nearest bus stop and just over the road from the railway station. The gallery where the parties are held is not massive but should accommodate a party of up to sixteen or so. Although this is the type of place that will appeal to children there are no age limits so parties of all types and all ages are catered for. As the name suggests the theme here is art and predominantly clay modelling. The party goers can choose from a variety of things to make including ponies, cupcakes and monkeys (there's a more comprehensive list on the website). The models are made from air drying clay and can be taken home at the end of the party, as a nice touch everyone is provided with a plastic container to ensure their models don't get squashed on the way home. There are no catering facilities other than soft drinks and tea/coffee so you'll need to take your own food, although this is the same with the leisure centres. It's excellent value for money, at five pounds a head it worked out cheaper for us than most of the other party venues in the area and everyone had a great time. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a different and affordable party venue. The other aspect of the business is the gallery side. There are a number of models available to purchase with prices starting from a pound. They also make models on commission so if you're looking for an unusual gift you can have a model made of a friend or relative, you'll just need to provide a photo to base the model on.
