I messaged Gerold late last night after discovering I had a leak from my washer. I searched through Yelp to find a local business that would be able to resolve the issue. Gerold contacted me first thing in the morning and had asked questions regarding the leak. He then agreed to come out and see the washer to open it up. After pulling open the front panel, he already figured out what the issue was. Gerold said it could be fixed, however, the part, alone, is costly. He stated that it was better to purchase a brand new washer instead. Although Gerold was not able to fix it for us, I really appreciated his knowledge and feedback and the fact that he took time to come out to the home. An added plus, he didn't charge us a fee for inspection. If you are looking to get your appliance(s) looked at, give a call to Gerold. He's honest, transparent, and knowledgeable. read more

Gerold showed up on time and inspected the fridge. He determined the fridge required oem repair, and didn't charge for the service. I tried to pay him for the time but he refused. I've also used his services in the past and he was able to repair those without problems. Highly recommend read more

Excellent service, very patient, and knowledgeable. He was nice enough to wait for me to come back home to have him check on my refrigerator. Not only did he explain thoroughly about what was going on but he helped me unplugged the ice maker that my fridge has so it would stop making the random loud noise it makes. Thank you Gerold! I'll continue to find his service in the future! read more

Honest and fair gentlemen. Did not charge us a diagnosis fee as he did not find a problem with the fridge. Very professional as well.

Our tube to the freezer pan was clogged and it was leaking from the bottom. Gerold came out a cleared it. He was here a total of 25 minutes. His price was very reasonable. If we have any issues with any of our appliances, we will call Gerold. Thank you Gerold! read more

I called Gerold's Appliance Service, because my washing machine wasn't draining, and Gerold came out to fix it the very next morning. He was friendly and professional, diagnosed the problem, and got the washing machine working again at a reasonable price. Gerold is the man! He has been fixing my parents' appliances for decades and now he is also our go-to guy when my techie handyman boyfriend can't fix it. Our stove hadn't been working and with Thanksgiving upon us, we knew it was time to call. Gerold was,as always, punctual, professional, warm, and thorough. He explained what he did step by step and resolved the issue within an hour. We got an awesome deal as his rates are reasonable. I'd also like to give him props for comping my parents for their recent washer repair. Since he solved that mystery(spare change in the drum) within minutes of his arrival, he comped the visit. Who does that?!? read more

Called Gerold for service. He called me back within a few hours, made an appt for the next day, a Saturday. Showed up on time, was professional, courteous and went above and beyond the request. I asked about additional work, he provided two references. Highly recommend and will use again! Thanks! read more

Gerold is very friendly. He informed you of the estimated cost upfront and is on-time for the appointments. He did not charge diagnostic fee, and would tell you if the cost of repair is close to or over the cost of a new item. Highly recommended from me read more

My dryer not working and asked Gerold's to come fixed. First time he was polite and gentle to the machine coz he got paid. He said he gave 90 day's warranty. Unfortunately, the dryer won't work again after 30 days. So called him to check on it again. This time I can hear he slammed the dryer door through my garage door closed. Not just one time, it's couple time. After 10 mins, he told me it's not fixable and suggested me to buy a new one. Then rush out of the door. Not the right attitude during warranty period, not recommended. read more

I have a Frigidaire Affinity washer and dryer that I needed to have repairs done on. I called and left a message on August 24th with all pertinent information...come to my disappointment...i never received a call or any message back. This is disappointing as I had previous repairs done by Gerold on my dryer in the past. Looks like I will be on a search for another repair place. read more

Gerold was great!! He responded quickly to my request and fixed my dryer in no time. Very professional and sweet man.

Gerold was recommended to me by my plumber. He said, "This is the only guy I would recommend for any appliance work". Gerold came out and checked our malfunctioning dishwasher. It was determined that the motherboard was kaput and he recommended replacing the entire dishwasher. He told me that was the most prudent and reasonable thing to do. He gave me a recommendation of a few good choices. I wanted to give him the work and asked him to install it, but he informed me that the business where I purchased it would do that. He refused to be paid for his service call and knowledgable recommendations. Rare in this world. He's a gem! Responsive, professional, knowledgable and honest! read more

I will always use Geralds for my appliance repair. Always. I had trouble with my freezer and he came out promptly, was entirely honest about the problem and gave me options (which I truly appreciated). He was more than fair in every way. I called Gerold on Friday afternoon as our dishwasher had broken down. Since we were heading into the weekend, I did not expect that we'd be able to get it fixed until during the week, so I was pleasantly surprised when Gerald scheduled a window the following morning -- Saturday -- for a service all. He arrived well within the window he gave us (he told us 10-12, and arrived at 11), took a look at the dishwasher, diagnosed and fixed our issue. Within a half hour of Gerald's visit, we had a functioning dishwasher. Gerold is knowledageable, professional, courteous and very reasonable. I am glad not only to have a functioning appliance but also that we now know a craftsman in our neighborhood that we can call upon if we have trouble with any of our electrical appliances. Thank you, Gerold! p.s. Gerold accepts Mastercard and Visa. read more

Gerold came here twice in about the last two years, first for my washing machine and secondly for my fridge. He was punctual, knowledgeable, personable, tidy, and really reasonable. He'll be the person I keep calling for my appliance repairs. read more

Gerold answered my call promptly and offered me an appointment even sooner than I was ready for. He arrived on time and was pleasant. Although he couldn't pinpoint the problem with our washing machine, he narrowed it down and gave me advice on my options. And charged me $0.00 for his house call because "I didn't fix your machine". Okay?! Integrity. Papa like. I told him we'd keep him in mind for when the new machine we're going to buy inevitably gives us trouble. And I meant it. Great job! He was professional thorough and all around great guy. He assessed the problem almost immediately and his pricing was affordable. We're even having him fix our Refrigerator next! I called Gerold after calling a few other highly rated Yelp places. I explained that every few years the hole at the bottom of my refrigerator needed to be clean. The first quote for twice what I paid before and the second quote was for four times as much. Gerold was only slightly more. Out of the three, I could tell that Gerold was the only one that really understood what I needed to have done. He is a very nice man, on time, even wanted to show me how to do the job on my own. Gave me his card and told me to call if I had any problems. Now I see why he has perfect scores. read more

Called Gerold yesterday to see about replacing the seals on a 13-year-old refrigerator. Right off the bat, he told me it probably wasn't going to be worth it. He asked a few questions to try to diagnose the problem over the phone and we decided he'd stop by and attempt to fix without replacing the seals (would have been ~$400 to replace, would be better of buying a new fridge). This morning Gerold stopped by right on time and it took him about 15 minutes to fix everything up. He only charged for a visit and gave us instructions about taking care of the problem if it recurs. As a bonus, I asked him about servicing our LG front load washer and dryer, and he told me what to watch for before I should bother calling him for service. What a guy! I'll reiterate what everyone else has said: honest, reliable, friendly, and clearly knowledgable. He'll be our go-to guy since we just can't stomach Sears' service anymore. read more

Gerold is a gem. He was on time, fixed and explained the problem I had with my dryer. He even gave me a few tips about my dryer hose, which was outdated and not even connected correctly. I will definitely be calling on him again with any of my appliance problems. He was very affordable and I felt like I got a great deal. He was also a kind and polite gentleman. I highly recommend him and his services. read more

Thank you Gerold for coming out this morning. I called him yesterday and he was open within 24 hours. He even came early so my fiancé could leave for work on time! My refrigerator stopped working on a Thursday and I called Gerold on Friday morning to determine the problem. Now, part of this was a coincidence, but when I talked to him he was able to get to my home in 30 minutes. He immediately found the problem and about 30 minutes after arriving he was done with the work. He's a friendly guy, knowledgeable and easy to work with. The fee was reasonable. I'll definitely call him again if I need appliance repair read more

Great quick service for our dryer. Gerolds is very courteous and helpful.

Gerold was a referral by a friend. My dishwasher needed repair and Gerold came over on time (in fact earlier then the appointment time), diagnosed the problem and gave me the options on how to fix the problem. The cost to fix it outweighed getting a new one. He recommended that Bosch and GE were the top brands for a dishwasher. He was so nice, he did not charge me since he was in the area and passing through. Thank you Gerold!!! I will definitely keep you in mind for any future appliance problems. read more

This rating is for customer service alone. I really appreciated Gerold's honesty and friendliness. I had been on the phone with Maytag for half an hour and trying to get ahold of other appliance repair companies without any success.
