The lab is conveniently located in the office, but apparently every patient in the office needed lab work done at the same time. It took a while. I'm glad that now there are two doctors in this practice that I feel comfortable and confident seeing when I'm feeling under the weather.

That choice can cost patients thousands of dollars but they can't be bothered even though you have to pay out of pocket. That's not something that someone does who cares about their patients. This is a practice for someone who doesn't have health insurance and wants to risk huge medical bills. But hope that you don't ever need a diagnosis code - to transfer care, to get treatment at a hospital, to go on disability - because our country uses diagnosis codes as the standard of practice, so their lack of interest in spending the time is at the expense of patient well being. Why would anyone pay for a doctor who does not care about their long term well-being or having thousands of dollars out of pocket because the provider doesn't want to learn diagnostic codes?

In the meantime, please seek training - in diversity and inclusion, unconscious bias and definitely, customer service. So I thought I would give it a try and it was a great experience. The first advantage versus a typical urgi care was that since I was already a patient, it took me maybe 30 seconds to just fill out my name and basic info. Usually, if you walk into an urgi care, you could spend 10 minutes on their paperwork. It was only 35 minutes total from the time I showed up until the time I walked out! They worked very quickly to keep the line moving! I was really impressed. Also, everyone I dealt with was really professional, friendly, and kind. The front desk guy was super nice, as was the nurse and doctor. If that had been my first experience at the practice, I would have a different overall opinion. I'm actually thinking I will stick with this office just because the urgi care experience was so nice. I hope the primary care will up their game so I could stick around in the long term. Dr. Horton was so kind! Very different bedside manner than I experienced with Dr. Brack. Maybe switching primary care doctors would do the trick for me.

The people on the phone are always helpful and kind. I never wait even five minutes in their spacious and clean waiting room. The nurses or medical assistants who take me back and triage me are always kind, as well. Once in the examination room, my wait is seldom more than ten minutes. Dr. Weaver is always so kind and welcoming. She sits and listens. She does not seem distracted, she is not busy looking at the computer or writing notes. She is compassionate and she does not judge! The reference desk is always helpful, they call to pre-cert any services Dr. Weaver sends me out of office for; and they call me to tell me what my out-of-pocket will be. There is a phlebotomist on site and there's never more than a five minute wait for blood draws. I cannot recommend her and the office more.

I was greeted with a pleasant smile, and asked to come back to the area to be weighed in and taken directly to the room. All vitals were taken, everything was a breeze, and I was told the Dr. would be in soon. Within just a few minutes the Dr. came in and went over my details. He took the time to ensure my data was succinct and verified everything was just like it should be. He was extremely kind, upbeat, and acted like he actually cared about my issues. I went to pay and the two ladies at the desk could not have been more kind, everyone in the office was! My meds were prescribed and when I went to the CVS, had already been downloaded and were being processed. I always feel welcomed here and that's why I keep coming back.
