I have mixed emotions about this little neighborhood eatery. And to clarify, in the very small town…read moreof Hohenfels, it's one of maybe three options, so it certainly does well regarding a constant flow of customers.
They have a small patio area that fills up pretty fast on certain days, and then about seven or eight decent size tables inside. The owner is also the operator who waits on you, serves you, and at times cleans up after you. However, that's the glitch, it just doesn't leave you with an impression of cleanliness.
The food is pretty good, a wide variety of pizza, Italian pasta dishes and traditional German dishes. Fair prices and a decent beer selection, of course! Hey, it's Germany, so that's a given.
Nevertheless, during the summer months they leave their doors open and the amount of flies inside are just so annoying. Seriously, it's like picnicking outside next to a sewage plant or something. Then I got to thinking, if there's that many flies in the dining area, there's bound to be that many in the kitchen as well. So I shudder to think of what really goes down in that kitchen.
Well, let's just assume during the colder months things are a bit different.
