I have received this service numerous times at the Gerber style center. Yesterday my hair color service came with a 50% price hike. When I asked my friends if they have experience price hikes like this in salons. They explained that many salons hike prices due to customers ethnicity. I was shocked that this happened to me at my trusted Gerber style Center. I hope this will not continue. This would be sad to see in an ethically diverse neighborhood. I call numerous times to have a conversation about this event and the workers hung up on me and prevented me from contacting the owner. Found this hidden gem on Power Inn and Gerber. While everyone increases their price on haircut, they remain the same. Mr Tony does my hair multiple times and it's been very clean and consistent . Drove in the rain to come here to give my kids a hair cut and I was told to go home and come back because he asked if I was waiting for anyone. I said I can wait for Debbie. Debbie said she's too busy and the wait will take long time so I said okay no worries I can cut with anyone. The owner refused to cut my kids hair because he was but hurt I said I'll wait for Debbie. Literally told me to leave and because I refused to cut my kids hair. Mind you I come hair for many years. My husband fit hair, my oldest son cut hair and my two young boys cut hair. Been coming here for a long time, the workers are really nice but I've asked for the same cut every time and this one is the most in consistent. I always ask nick for the same haircut low fade zero on the side this dude brings it up all the way high and now it looks like I have a toupee this is the worst cut I ever had and honestly it sucks that I have to write this review but he didn't listen to anyway I wanted my haircut and was distracted by everything else going on except giving me a normal cut. Honey tried out this place 3x already, first time was with Tony since everyone says he's the best, second time was with Song & third again with Tony. He always comes home with a different haircut, even though he always asks for the same thing. The only thing that's the same when he gets home is that his line ups are always crooked. The fades aren't even good, they don't blend nicely. It goes from a 3 skip the 2, 1 & go to the 0. Thank god his hair grows out fast. Also to mention, they use the same comb for everyone. Where's inspection?! The wait is long, but the haircut is cheap. However I think we both agree that we'll pay more for a place that gives out better haircuts. Never coming back here again. read more

The hair cut styles are ok. But not recommended for small children. The workers there do not like kids and do not know how to work with small children. I brought my 2 yr old in and you can see the lady was annoyed with it the whole time trying to cut his hair. I understand it is hard to cut young children's hair in general. There will be struggles but as a hair stylist, you should know how to be patient and do the best you can. Will not be returning again. read more

I am a senior citizen and gosh my eyebrows just get thick and out of control. Angela does a great job of shaping, plucking and making my brows feel just great again. I'm loyal customer here, I always go here once every two or three week to get my hair cut. But after what they did to me yesterday, they lost my loyal business with them. I have to waited forever to know that they skipped me and cut other customer who sign up after me on the list. They were so unorganize with the list and I have to ask them if they skip me and they said "Not Your Turn" and when I pointed out my name on the list. They try to play it cool that I'm going be next. After what they did to me I was like BS I'm out of here. I been cutting my hair here since 2019. They know me that I'm a regular customer. Their barbers cuts are okay, but I like to support them if I can and it's also close to my house. They just don't know how to organize customer. They give priority cuts to the people they know first and lie to you that customer has appointment, even if they come inside and sign up after you. read more

I've been coming here for only 1.5 years and I get my hair cut by Nick 99% of the time. However, I like to come in early and unfortunately, Nick doesn't come in that early so a couple of times I had Tony cut my hair the cuts were not bad but not as good as Nick because I feel Nick takes more time and really really does a good job and you cannot beat a $7 haircut. I recommend Nick over Tony, but if are like me and like to get things done as early as possible just realize that you probably should show up until about 1-1.5 hours after the shop opens. read more

Great place to get a good cut at a super cheap price. I've tried other barbers that charged $20-$35 a cut before but they're not as good as this place. The girls are better barbers than the guys. I stick to Angela for my cuts. I would avoid getting cuts from Tony because he messed up my cuts multiple times. read more

I was referred here by my SIL and I was a bit nervous when I came in because there were a lot of guys waiting for a cut. I thought that maybe this shop catered more to men than women, but my SIL vouched for this place so I thought I'd give it a try. This was my first time getting a hair cut in almost 3 years, so I was extremely nervous. I had Song cut my hair (my SIL suggested her) and she did an AMAZING job. My hair is pretty long (it reaches my lower back) and she managed to keep my length while giving me lots of layers! My hair is not "choppy" and my layers blend together so well. I honestly couldn't be happier and I will be coming back again. I can't speak for the other workers, but Song did a great job. She definitely exceeded my expectations and on top of that, I only paid $20 for my haircut. I totally recommend this place, specifically, Song! read more

Tony isn't as good as everyone says. He is INCONSISTENT with his cuts. That's why most of you guys will go home with a different cuts every time. He rushes his cuts and it seems to be all about the money. I know he's trying to squeeze as many people he can in one day because he only charges 7-9$$/ per cut, but c'mon. I wouldn't recommend coming here. I waited an hour for my son to get a haircut. I get there is a wait without an appointment, but a hour is ridiculous with 5 stylist working. Yes, I signed my son in. No acknowledgement when we walked in the door. That should've been the first sign. As other people walked in they were greeted. After 30 minutes of waiting I walk up to the counter to see how much longer the wait was and the man says you're right after one of the other stylists customers. I'm thinking cool My son is next. So the other stylist finishes up with his customer. I look up and the stylist is washing someone else's hair, are you F'n kidding me? By this time it has been a hour and I'm done waiting and I'm PISSED. As I tell my kids let's go, as we're walking out the door the guy yells "right now". Uh no, I keep walking. Beyond happy with Gerber Style Center. We were referred by my SIL and my brother who live in the area. We just moved here and we're so nervous to find a good barber for my husband and my son. Nerves no more! They have 2 loyal clients who will continue to return! From the time I called to ask to make an appt, they were very friendly and gave us a same day appt at 4p. We arrived around 3:50p and they quickly got down to business! My husband and son came out and my jaw dropped! They looked so good! Their fades and line ups were so on point! I made an appointment. It's been 30 minutes now (feels like an hour) & no call. They keep calling some1 else. When i do not make an appointment they call some1 else & they would say they had an appointment. What gives?? This place is also somewhat unsanitary. They keep using the same combs not being sterilized where they can dip. Its very easy to catch lice?. Also, the ring around the neck to prevent cross contamination. No problem. I just bring my own towel or tshirt to wrap around my neck. Its either they do not use any or they use the same towel over and over for all the customers through out the day. Gross. Tony is very talented, he always cuts my hair on point. Everyone always wants to get a haircut with Tony. I had the other Asian guy cut my hair once and he also did an amazing job! However, the whole crew is pretty good! People get upset because of the wait mostly because their prices can't be beat for the quality of the cut! I highly recommend this place!
