Yelp you need to have a star category "NO STARS" (Bunch of crap...trying not to be vulgar) i wish I had seen the other client's ratings on YELP before I went there cause I definitely would have researched further for better customer service and a more compassionate and informative attorney that's not rude. I guess they think they are too big to fail. Without going into too much detail they all need to be retrained on dealing with the public especially paying clients. Pathetic! Pathetic! Pathetic! I went to them for a bankruptcy case. Per their own advice, I had to work on a tax issue first which was taking quite a long time. I had already paid Geraci IN FULL! I get a letter in the mail stating they have dropped my case because of delay. It was their idea!!!!!! They send me a refund check of only a third of what I paid. I feel like I have been scammed!!! When i walked in the door 2 years ago i was on the verge of getting my wages garnished for a bogus lemon car i had given back. They had to go to court for me immediately the next day. I am shocked I have to do this but due to medical issues I had to file bankruptcy. I chose a lawyer who was well known Geraci Law. Everything was fine until I lost my job and had to have my chapter 13 converted into a 7. We did ask upon hiring Geraci Law if there would be a charge. They said no. But sure enough when the time came it was an additional 1,600.00 so we paid 800.00 of it ( we had no other choice ). Court Day was set and I got to court and forgot my drivers license so continuance. They demanded I pay another 100.00. So I did. And don't get me wrong the lawyers were all very nice and helpful UNTILL we got a call from Scott Schumaker me Geracis number one guy. He was so verbally abusive on the phone yelling and screaming at us I was floored. I have never heard any professional speak to a customer in this manor. He accused us of waiting his time. Which is rediculous... We chose to pay our bills, they are suppose to support and help you not yell and belittle you. I did call back to express my feelings to someone else and get this. There is nothing anyone can do because all correspondence, emails, and complaints go through Scott. So there is no way to express your concerns to Mr. Geraci himself. So do not use Geraci Law. I would not recommend anyone to this Law firm. I had an appointment at 5:30. I got there around 5:20 signed in got a stack of paper work. Mind you it was only for a consultation. By the time I got to sit in the office with Salvador it was almost 6:30. When I set up the appointment I was told to bring in all my documents so they could give me the most accurate information about the different chapters. He didn't even want to see my documents. My actual sit down appointment was less than 30 mins. What could you possibly explain in 30 mins? I did my research online about bankruptcy. So I knew a bit when I went in. I felt so pressured to sign a retainer. Why would I sign a retainer when you didn't even take the time to help me. The cost to file with this law firm is outrageous. For lake county, which is the county I reside in, is not that expensive to file. Is this how this law firm has gotten wealthy? By presuring people to hiring you on the spot? Are you that insecure that your clients will not come back? I If you weren't you would tell them to take all the time they needed if you were that confident. The last time I checked I was hiring you, not you hiring me. Over and over I was asked why I didn't want to sign a retainer, that if I came back I would have to do all the paper work again. Ok, so I would have, but I would never go back I didn't feel comfortable at all. You can take plenty of other peoples money, but it wont be mine. I went in there for relief of my debt not another darn headache. I will be taking my business else where, I am sure with the 100,000 + customers that you have my business will not be missed. Consumers please beware that there are other lawyers out there don't just go with the first one you sit down with.
