I initially hired Semko law offices based on all the good reviews. When I went in Jeff and Terrie (no longer in state) had talked the talk and seemed to walk the walk. I hired them in September. After hiring I try to be in the know of what is going on with my case involving my children. My kids were ripped out of my life and literally kept from me until I saved enough to pay them the retainer to represent me which was a couple of months after my sons 7th birthday. I felt like I had a good group as a new dad himself he seemed to acknowledge the importance of family time. Once I got them hired they knew of my job being an issue for what I wanted compared to what I can actually do due to "time away from children" since I work midnights. Instead of bringing that major issue to my attention as I am unfamiliar with these laws/rules/regulations you proceed with my case to a settlement conference. I asked to be prepared for this multiple times, NEVER OCCURED!! Instead I get blindsided by the opposing counsel with this very hard to accept during a "settlement hearing" This is the day my stomach started telling me things were not right! I felt during that settlement I was the only one out of 3 in my corner fighting for my rights and my time with my children! Hired him 9/18/20 went out and talked with as many lawyers as I could with only knowing what I knew, and by ones that didn't have a conflict with me still being under advice of an attorney in the start of February shortly after our settlement conference. I should of been blunt with my words in my email when I terminated his services on 2/26/21 however I kept it professional and informed him who my new lawyer was and she would reach out! A day in, as my feeling was correct before she reached out and added me in the email so I know you got it, as he claims he doesn't know what I have paid into financial obligations for child support but yet has got an email from me with each payment confirmation number!? Oddly enough I get an additional email today, which prompted me to write this review. Stating that apparently SEMKO DID NOT COMPLY WITH ANYTHING! And now we must start all over from scratch! I do no want ANYONE to feel the type of neglect I have felt by a PROFESSIONAL who is HIRED by YOU to WORK IN YOUR BEST INTERESTS! In my personal opinion And experience I would not hire him to represent your custodial needs nor would I recommend ANY OF YOU! read more

This man was very rude and got easily annoyed with my simple questions of clarifications. I called before heading to the office and was told to head over (they closed in 30 mins) however when I got there Mr. Semko seemed ready to leave and was visibly annoyed.
