This campus is more relaxed and smaller (it's one building). I suggest this campus and the Dunwoody campus.

I recently graduated from a Caribbean medical school and just started my internal medicine…read moreresidency in California. My journey wasn't traditional, but I'm incredibly proud of where I am today. Like many of you, I was nervous about going the Caribbean route. But what I found was a school that was responsive, rigorous, and gave me the opportunities I needed -- from quality clinical rotations in the U.S. to a strong support system when prepping for the USMLEs and Match. I know there's a lot of stigma, but if you're committed and use your resources wisely, this route can still take you exactly where you want to go. Everyone's journey is different, and this one worked for me. For those thinking of alternative routes into medicine, just know it's possible -- and worth it.

If you're determined to becoming a doctor and are considering this school, I want to let you know…read moreknow that I was too, and I decided to give this experience a shot. I'll be honest: I wasn't sure what to expect when I first committed here. Like many people, I had the typical concerns about international med schools -- stigma, matching, opportunities, etc. But now being a Resident Doctor, going back, I don't think I would change a thing. This school gave me more than just a medical education -- it gave me room to grow. From day one, I was able to get deeply involved, take on leadership roles, work on meaningful projects, and surround myself with people who genuinely cared about what they were doing. Being successfully here definitely takes a degree of drive (as medical school in general does), and the atmosphere is a perfect compliment to that. Academically, I felt challenged and supported. The curriculum was rigorous, but the small class sizes and accessible professors made it easy to stay connected and get help when I needed it. Clinical rotations were solid, and I was able to make the most of my electives and networking opportunities. I matched into an absolute dream residency at an academic center in the U.S., and I know this school played a major part in getting me there. Would I have taken a more traditional path if I had the chance? Maybe. But I wouldn't trade this one for anything. This journey wasn't easy -- but it was worth it. And I'm leaving this place as both a better physician and a better person because of it.

Extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and professionalism from Gwinnett Technical…read moreCollege's International Student Department. My husband has been trying to enroll for over two months and has submitted every document requested. Despite this, the process has been dragged out due to the school's complete failure to communicate. He was told that two days ago someone from the International Student Department needed to call him back to review a few items. That call never happened. Over the past two days, he has called multiple times, only to be sent straight to voicemail every single time. He left a voicemail and sent an email, neither of which received a response. Today, we tried again and were even told that the call was being transferred to the director of the department, only for that call to also go to voicemail. This level of unresponsiveness is unacceptable, especially for international students dealing with time-sensitive enrollment requirements. The lack of follow-up, accountability, and basic customer service makes it feel like international students are not a priority at this institution. No one should have to repeatedly chase a school just to get a response after complying with all requirements. This experience has been frustrating, stressful, and completely unprofessional. I would not recommend this school to any international student based on our experience.

After looking for an OPEN AND CLOSE sign in the Massage Therapy suite, and finding the front doors…read moreto the college open with NO ONE attending the front desk at 11:30 on a Saturday afternoon, I reluctantly open the front door to Suite 1200, and notice CASES of files immediately upon walking into the lobby (a personally identfiable information violation, as customer files should be protected), a gentleman (seated), and two women: one attendant speaking to the gentleman (a client, I assume), and the one I had to deal with. Her: "What do you need?" Me: "Hi, I'd like some info about your massages." Her: "Well, what information, because most of it is right outside the door... (proceeds talking)" I read the prices! I specifically wanted to know 1) If they were open, because there's no SIGN, 2) What KINDS of massages were available, and 3)What I needed to do to schedule an appointment. But the lack of professionalism and rude tone the woman took with me (and I let her know that, btw) was enough for me to turn around and walk right out. Now is that any way to treat a potential client? I don't think so. I wouldn't recommend anyone else come here.
