If your child is not a genius, or you do not have the money to pay for extra tuition, do not go to WHS.
Although there are some motivated and inventive teachers, in the main the teaching is lack luster and robotic. The English department is abysmal, I'd like to say old fashion, but it it worse than that!!
And if your child has a coach as a teacher, barring Coach Ryan and a couple of others, forget it. Almost zero teaching is done.
This school earns it's reputation because of the number of AP classes it offers, and because in the main, most parents here can just throw money after their kids. On average kids are tutored for SATs, costing anywhere from $700's and up, and take the tests over and over.
Sports are great, but expensive, dues usually range from $500's and up!!
Band, drama etc great but also expensive.
And if any school needs a uniform it's Walton. Kids go to school in Tory Burch shoes, carrying real coach purses, and driving brand new jeeps, range rovers etc.
