He just has a way of communicating that seems to get through, yet not be offensive. He is great at explaining what is going on and he listens to you. My wife loves him too. I always feel like I am in very capable and knowledgeable hands. I can not tell you how awesome he is to a point that you would really know how much I like this Heart doctor. If you are looking for a heart doctor, by all means come to the Piedmont Heart Institute and find a great place to be taken care of properly and be confident you are in the best possible hands for your needs. Thanks Dr. Desai for your great care!

I cannot, in good faith, recommend this practice to anyone. Especially anyone with a dire medical…read morecondition. It's really a shame because my husband really likes Dr. Desai but their office staff are AWFUL at best. They are fully aware that my husband has a debilitating life threatening heart issue that requires constant monitoring so when they pushed his stress echo out nearly a month we just had to roll with the punches. That is until he arrived to his appointment and was told that they couldn't do it because he took his medication. Ironically the day prior he had an echo for comparison and was told 542 times that he needs to be on time because this person and that person leaves at 4:30. Got it, great schedule but they forgot the information that actually mattered like..not taking your medicine before the appointment! So they acted bewildered over the fact that I pointed out their desire to leave on time versus outlining important procedural information. They then rescheduled for ANOTHER two weeks out. Well ladies and gentlemen, everything was closed yesterday because of the snow. They told us everyone would be rescheduled. I get it, I really do. The office is closed and nobody wants to crash on ice. But what I have an issue with is they called today and acted like they had to push it out until nearly the second week of February. Not to mention I had an appointment yesterday as well regarding some serious chest pain that my doctor feels I was given an incorrect diagnosis at other doctors and they didn't even bother to call me to reschedule at all or tell me they were closed either day. I found out because they called my husband (after I reemed them last time.) I am just appalled, no, DISGUSTED by their utter lack of care for life. It's absolutely deplorable.
