I asked to speak to him before she was discharged and this infuriated him. It took me almost two days to be able to see him and when I did he yelled and insulted me because "how dare I question his professional opinion", he even made my grandmother cry and was mean and just plain cruel to us. I left a review on his Facebook page "Florida Premier Cardiology" and the responses he posted there were nothing but threats and insults. He said I had mental health issues and was completely and utterly disrespectful. Please do your research before going to see this man. He is rude and lacks empathy, he should not be trusted with your loved ones health!

During the visit, I was told he was 95% certain I had a serious condition and was repeatedly pushed to undergo more and more tests, "insurance was paying" . When I declined one test, he said out loud in his office that I might die within a week. This was said without compassion and in a way that felt fear-based rather than patient centered. The same day, I sought a second opinion from another cardiologist in the same area, who examined me and told me there was nothing wrong and that I was healthy, thank God. That contrast made the experience even more alarming and confusing. The psychological impact of that encounter stayed with me for years. Regardless of clinical uncertainty, no patient should be pressured, frightened, or spoken to in such a way. Patients deserve empathy, balanced communication, and respect for informed consent unfortunately, that was not my experience.

The staff are efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. At all four appointments we were called a couple days ahead to explain our copay, then sent reminders, at least twice, then taken ahead of schedule at each visit. Pretty impressive. My last appointment was for an MRI where I needed an IV to administer a dye. I have an emotional reaction to IV's where I often pass out. I told Claudia and Joe (the technicians). They handled it flawlessly. You could not even see a needle mark the next day. They thought it was no big deal. Believe me, it was.

BOTTOM LINE: They're making way more appointments than they have the capacity to service. Also, there is no way to file a complaint by telephone with them. Call their number and you get the infamous "our menu options have changed" greeting, but none of those options involve feedback on their service (or lack thereof).

He would ask me questions and before I could even answer, he would answer for me based on assumptions that were not true. When I tried to explain myself, he constantly interrupted me and at one point I had to tell him to let me finish speaking. What bothered me even more was how confidently he made diagnoses and dismissed an existing diagnosis in areas outside of his specialty. These weren't presented as possibilities or concerns. He stated them as facts without taking the time to actually understand my history or symptoms. After I left, I made it clear to the office that I did not want to see or speak with Dr. Verma again. Despite that, I continued to receive calls encouraging me to speak with him or continue care with the practice. I had already made my decision and simply wanted it to be respected. I did not feel heard or respected and will not be returning. I would not recommend Dr. Verma based on my experience.

I was in there three months ago and the doctor had prescribed a calcium test for me which I had…read moredone. I called the office to see if they've received it and they said yes, and the doctor would discuss it with me when I came in. I came in again, three months later my cholesterol had drastically reduced because my family practitioner had put me on a statin to lower my cholesterol and it had done its job. He asked me about the calcium test, and I told him that the results were sent to him and his office staff had confirmed and now he told me he had no record of it. When I told him I had taken it at Lynn cancer center he argued with me and said that they don't do calcium there so when I left, I called and in fact, I did have the scan there. I've been there twice and I feel like the office is very disorganized and I didn't feel heard or seen. I'm hoping he calls me back and clarifies this because I've been twice & don't feel like I know what's going on w my health.
