We had our choice of breakfast (juice, coffee, fruit, Amish friendship bread, scrambled eggs, blueberry pancakes, bacon, and French toast) and breakfast time. We stayed in the downstairs/main floor bedroom, which had a bathroom, queen bed, TV, and window A/C unit. We didn't hear chickens in the morning, but we did hear the train. Norma was really nice; she shared some wine, and we brought home some fresh cut flowers, Amish sourdough starter/instructions, and Amish friendship bread. There were cats, but they didn't go into our room, and they seemed to stay outdoors a lot.

There are only two rooms that are in the house with your hosts. But there was plenty of space and privacy. For my husband and I. Norma is attentive and fun! Her communication is stellar!! You are surrounded by grape vineyards and elderberry complete with ducks, roosters and a pond on 86 acres. We walked the grounds, Norma gave us a little tour of the elderberries and they were currently harvesting them for an Apple festival. The grapes were in full blown this time of year so the delicious smell of grapes was in the air. You are close to great restaurants near by we went to a local favorite Freeport restaurant. This is close to Freeport beach which history was made by the first woman who swam from Canada to Pennsylvania. Halli Reid (ps she sat in front of me in homeroom growing up in school)Great food, casual dress. After we came back Norma gave us a piece of her homemade cake that mimics her mother's recipe.it was my birthday weekend. It was so good I asked for the recipe!! In the morning we were blown away by our fresh country breakfast of eggs (freshly gathered that morning) homemade muffins, fresh fruit (not canned) grape juice again homemade (you are on a grape vineyard farm, of course!). Pancakes, bacon, coffee, hot chocolate. The sweet conversation they sat with us and made us feel like we were family. I was moved to tears when I first walked in feeling overwhelmed by the coziness and feeling of family missed greatly. Before we left she gave me two bouquets of flowers from her garden as a birthday gift. If you need peace, family and country living for a minute this will make you feel well rested and a touch of home. You heart will be glad you stayed.

It is located in the heart of Northeast, Pa, the very center of the flourishing wine country. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by the innkeeper - she gave us the keys to our room, showed us around the house, allowed us to choose our breakfast time, and double checked that neither of us had allergies. During both of our stays, we were in the Concord room. The bathroom is small, but was stocked with everything that was necessary for a weekend stay. A coffee/tea machine was located right outside the door if we wanted a drink at any time. Downstairs, there were two cookie jars that were always filled, a mini fridge with soda and water, and a room with games and movies that we could take back to our room. At breakfast time, we always had the first course waiting for us on the table. It usually consisted of some kind of coffee cake. The server offered us tea or coffee to begin the meal. A basket sat in between the place settings and was often filled with rolls or buns. The second course was a medley of fresh fruit while for the main course, we were given two options. They ranged from egg breakfast casseroles to french toast to pancakes. All of the food was fresh and delicious! We were able to see the owner through the kitchens swinging door preparing the breakfast. You will not go hungry! If you are headed to Erie for a weekend getaway, please consider this B&B! Its cleanliness and hospitality are top of the line. It is within walkable distance of some local restaurants and a new winery. Once booking your room, it is easy to communicate with Peggy, the owner, about anything! We shall return for another stay in the future.

The innkeeper kindly allowed us to pick up our wine tasting pass early since we were in town a little earlier than expected. She also accommodated my lactose intolerance at breakfast. Breakfast, by the way, was top notch. We were there for 3 breakfasts and got a choice of either a meat/egg casserole-type of dish, or a carb-type of dish (usually some kind of pancakes or French toast). We also received different daily assortments of homemade breads/rolls/muffins, and a fresh fruit course. I would book this B&B again. The central location makes it perfect if you're looking for a Lake Erie Wine Region vacation.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, recommending a great casual, Italian restaurant in the area, Bark's Grill, where they make their own sauces and dressings. The Brick House adds all those little details that make your stay memorable; cookies in the dining room, holiday decorations, a game room, fridge, microwave, bottles of water, etc. My BF and I stayed in the Grape Room of this house that was built in the 1800s. The rooms are decorated in antiques and rich colors which I can really appreciate coming from stark white apartment city living. The room had a comfortable king-sized bed, an electric fireplace and private bath. I assume because it was the Grape Room, we also found a couple cans of grape juice in the room and a free mug to take if you choose to w the name of the B&B on it. The BF was a big fan of the soft towels. The fresh coffee was ready in the morning by 7 and breakfast by 8:30. You won't leave hungry with eggs, bacon, fruit, pastries, juice, and homemade pound cake. The best add-on to the stay is the opportunity to use the 2 infrared dry saunas. They provide white fluffy robes for their guests to wear in them. If you are stopping by the wineries in the area, 21 Brix is only about 4 miles down the road and their Cabernet is more than worth a stop.

We arrived right at 3 for our check in and received a warm welcome from Lesley complete with a review of the property and tour of the space. Very helpful to know where everything is right away! Plus - a welcome cocktail and sweet bread was waiting for us! Delicious! The room: we stayed in La Due, which had an amazingly comfortable king bed, ceiling fan, and tub/shower combo. No detail goes unnoticed in the room, the towels are soft and match the floor rugs beautifully. Robes are available for guests and plenty of outlet space for charging is around the room. A note to visitors: the shared refrigerator for guests is only a mini-fridge, so there isn't much storage space. We'd suggest planning ahead and bringing a cooler for any larger items you wanted to store - or calling ahead to see about options. When we wanted to chill champagne, Lesley was wonderful to assist us with an ice bucket and two glasses! I highly recommend a trip here - friendly, relaxing, and so comfortable!
