Great store that showcases and sells local artists from Joshua Tree. Really nice and helpful…read moresalespeople as well. Prices are reasonable. Found a cool blue cotton jacket made in Italy and two pairs of earrings designed by local artists.

Acme 62 is such a gem tucked along that eclectic stretch of shops on 29 Palms Hwy in Yucca Valley…read more-- the kind of place you walk into "just to browse" and suddenly wish you had more trunk space on the drive back to LA. From the moment you step inside, the whole space feels effortlessly chic and inviting, almost like wandering through a beautifully styled desert living room. The decor pieces, furniture, and housewares are thoughtfully curated -- elevated, artistic, and full of personality. My fiancé and I had a great time exploring every corner and imagining what would come home with us... and of course we couldn't leave empty-handed. We picked up some amazing incense paired with a pottery ash catcher, I love that it looked handmade but yet refined -- exactly the kind of unique find you hope for in a specialty shop. What's cool about this store is that everything feels intentional: well-designed, desert apropos-- it gives a feel of local handicrafts not mass produced. Stylish without trying too hard, cool without being intimidating. If you're wandering through Yucca Valley and love design, home decor, or just beautifully curated spaces, this place is absolutely worth a stop.

This very large store shockingly does not offer public restrooms which I find extremely surprising because they offer so much to look at and their prices are a little higher than the surrounding stores but they value their customers so little that they won't offer them a restroom. That is why I am subtracting one star but I'm subtracting a second star because when I asked the owner at the counter if they had a public restroom she was very short and blunt with me and her response of no and that I can go to another business across the street followed by the expression that I was exhausting her while she spoke to the floor. The way she spoke to me made me feel like I was nothing more than a dollar sign and the lack of restrooms solidified that feeling. If I could subtract half of a star further for her lack of customer service in the way that she spoke to me I would also do that but alas I will be leaving three. We did find some really fascinating pieces in the store which unfortunately we had to put back but among those items were vintage bottles, books and a sewing machine. They have such a great variety here. My recommendation is to have you and your children use the restroom before coming to this establishment and to be sure you do not have coffee or any fluids before walking around this labyrinth antique store.

The all year round swap meet is your weekend basin socialization and thrift shopping experience. If…read moreyou are not in the mood for browsing through metal scraps, old furniture, dusty paintings and hidden gems (Nintendo cartridges, dinosaur bones, prohibition era bicycle rings, you got the idea), you can always just chill, chat or have coffee in the cafe. Cafe is your classic American diner/breakfast joint. Prices are from the past. Food is comforting. The only thing that would be awesome to see improved is to forfeit the use of plastic utensils and styrofoam coffee cups. Bring your own mug if you don't want to use disposable styrofoam cups. If you put an order and go back to the market browsing, your name would be called out loud through PA system on the roof of the cafe. How convenient. I had medium size coffee and short stack of buttermilk pancakes for $5.05 Definitely a place to visit if you are local, tourist and into flea markets / thrift stores. It's a lottery, and the fun is the process, not purchases. If you ever been to Berlin, Paris or Anjuna Beach flea markets, you would appreciate this place.

Vendors are pretty friendly and will dicker and you can find pretty much anything. Mostly used and vintage items, a lot of junk and a few new items to pilfer thru. There is a cafe although I've never eaten there so I can't say yay or nay about it. There is no cost to get into the market and a sign says NO dogs but people seem to ignore it and some wont pick up after their dog so watch your step. Happy hunting!
