Tom Porter and Geo-Insulation crew are heroes. On Monday, I requested quotes from 3 companies through HomeAdvisor to insulate my 625 sq ft attic. Tom Porter of Geo-Insulation responded by phone within hours. Based on my verbal description, he provided a written quote that evening. I called Tom back on Tuesday requesting a requote because I didn't mention the job had a hip roof and I wanted baffles between all rafters. Tom phoned that evening and provided a new written quote by Wednesday morning. One of the other two companies contacted me Tuesday evening and reviewed the site Wednesday morning. The 2nd company provided a verbal quote at twice the price of Geo-Insulation, promising a written quote by Wednesday but never received. Wednesday evening, I contacted Geo-Insulation to do the job and Tom Porter promised to install Saturday morning of the same week. As promised they arrived on time, completed the job within 3 hours, cleaned up any debris and delivered everything requested and promised. I had a wonderful experience with Geo-Insulation! I had a rat problem in my attic and had a few areas of damage. The initial company I contacted wanted to replace all of the insulation, which would have been a fortune. Tom was honest about what I needed and was the first one to provide me with a folder of information on his company, the materials he uses and the services I would be receiving. He and his crew were flexible with the schedule when I needed to change our appointment. They arrived on time, got the work done quickly, and cleaned up. He even went above and beyond by taping up some of the duct work the rats chewed. Tom even completed the CPS rebate paperwork for me and gave me a stabiles envelope to send it off in. He guarantees their work and plans to check in with me periodically. This was my first major home maintenance issue and Tom made it very easy. I has a great experience with Geo-Insulation! I had gotten a few quotes and his quote was about $600 dollars less and he did not try to up-sell me on any products that I did not need. There was a torn duct and he had fixed it for free along with closed a gap in the attic for no charge as well! He also installed a foam cover over the attic that let in less heat than the regular board that was there.. for no charge. He and his team were on time and fast. They showed by about 8:05 and were out by 10 after 10. They cleaned up everything and made payment easy for a young person like me who has never in their life owned checks! Another awesome benefit is he had all the rebate information available for me filled out, with a stamped and addressed envelope ready for the mail. His communication style is clear and consistent setting defined expectations from the start. I received his proposal via email within minutes of ending our conversation. Later the same day I had the opportunity to go over the reviews he's received over the years, always read the bad ones (only one 1), the answer is very appropriate and professionally handled.
