My mother has been living at Bonaventure Tigard since they opened the doors. She enjoys living…read morethere and has made it her home. Fortunately, she has a positive attitude about this stage of her life and attempts to share that positivity with her neighbors in the facility. I'm writing this in response to COVID-19 and Bonaventure's response to the pandemic. We have been impressed with Bonaventure's speedy actions to protect their residents. Early on we received several letters from management explaining their approach. As a result of their early actions (including stopping all incoming visitors, serving meals in residents' apartments, daily temperature checks for all residents) they have had only one confirmed case of COVID-19 and, thankfully, that person has recovered. Though my mother is experiencing isolation, stress, and grief (like all the rest of us) we are resting easy knowing she is as safe there as she would be anywhere. Staff turnover and inconsistent food quality ARE serious issues at this location, and we hope they can improve in those areas of care, but for now, we are grateful they are protecting the lives of our mother and her friends and neighbors at Bonaventure Tigard.

Cafe amenities need to be stocked up as there were no cups available but yet they had coffee, waters, teas available. Management is horrible and does not follow up on any questions or concerns. The manager that is in charge of the assisted living side is rude and talks to you like if you're stupid. No professionalism whatsoever. Many staff members complain about management especially her to family members. Hello?? That's not a good look when your staff is complaining to family members. No wonder this place has a high staffing turnover. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Stay away there are so many more facilities out there where your family member would be better off.

Including competitive pricing and commendable services, we were impressed that they have had the same managers, office staff, housekeepers and kitchen chefs for several years. Other local places, had high staff turnover and no stable management. I believe this will be the place we choose for my sister; I will update this after she's been there for 30 -60 days.

Both of my parents entered hospice care with Gracious Care Hospice on the same day. This transition…read morewas expected for my Mom, but unexpected for my Dad. It was an overwhelming time of change. I'm especially directing this review towards the hospice team that came into my patents's home to provide hands on care. We were very fortunate to have Alyssa, Trey, and La Sarita help us out. They were excellent communicators and very caring and competent. They exhibited great teamwork. They addressed our questions without making us feel like we were wasting their time. An additional note. After my Dad passed, just 13 days after entering hospice, my Mom did not want to sleep in her bedroom alone. Gracious Care Hospice made arrangements so we could keep my Dad's rented hospital bed so I could sleep next to her and hold her hand as she grieved the loss of her husband of 68 years. That act was outside of the hospice routine, but was a key to helping my Mom pass peacefully, 17 days later. Thank you, Gracious Care Hospice.

The care was good and the plan for progress and discharge was thorough and comprehensive. The food was even good! The weekend staff seemed a little less committed to the level of care, but our family member was "with it" and I think that helps.

We had a care conference within a few days, with a care plan and all the things they were going to do to help her regain her strength. Unfortunately, the longer she was there, the more things went downhill. When we tried to voice our concerns to Kelly (who, by the way, is listed as the grievance officer) and Sequin (the "resident care manager") they were absolutely useless. We did encounter a few good CNAs: Emily, Tirsa, and Ashley, but the rest should look into another profession. One of them even flat out refused to do her job, and every day I would clean up when I got there because they're all too lazy, leaving garbage and crap all over the room.
