"Start at the beginning, go to the end, and then stop," says Alice of Wonderland. Go through the door and look at the foyer - it's like a beautiful looking glass. This dental office experience starts with a sparkling clean, high-end beautiful waiting room. Phone chargers. Super smart and friendly office staff who know me & joke with me and everyone. They are also efficient, professional and kind. While I wait, I usually charge my phone because the darn battery dies because I use it. I never wait long. Maybe 2 minutes? Then I am greeted by the super kind and smart dental hygienist. She is so friendly and warm! Ushered into a clean, modern dental room. Updated appliances. Clean dental practices. You know those spit cup stations that used to be by dental chairs in the 80s? They are nasty germy messes. If any dental office has these, RUN. Seriously. You won't find anything like that here. Everything is clean and new and pristine and it's clear they maintain and upgrade as needed. Ok. Time for dental work. Lay back. "Here are sunglasses to protect your eyes from the bright light overhead." "Here is a remote; you can watch Netflix or Hulu channel flip to your hearts' content." "Oh, your jaw is getting tired of holding your mouth open, because it's not something you do all day every day? Have a bite square. Bite down on it, and enjoy your show while we work in your mouth." I am in the process of 2 months of my 3 Month Invisalign process. I have wanted Invisalign for YEARS. This office evaluated me. They evaluated my teenage son. Turns out, Invisalign is great for us! They showed me a computer animation of how our teeth would be fixed as many times as I wanted to see it. It was COOL! I am 45 years old. My teeth are set in their ways. But they are being GENTLY aggressive about fixing my teeth and it is working!! I can see my teeth are getting aligned quite rapidly. Wow. They put those things that are little squares on the front of my teeth. To help the Invisalign grab my teeth. They do have to shave (yes, shave) parts of sides of 1 tooth every now and then to give me room for my other teeth to move into alignment. (This would NOT happen at a cheap walk-in mall place.) I am sensitive to medical procedures. And was apprehensive about getting part of my tooth shaved. But I don't even feel it when they do it, they are so gentle. It's amazing. Wow. I tell you, the entire staff is full of smart, amazing, qualified, fun, kind, talented people who are EXTRAORDINARY at their job. My husband has teeth issues and they are so good with him and his issues. And my two boys didn't want to change from our last dentist but I had a bad experience and needed a new one. I went to a horrible one right after that. I had no idea archaic practices and rough procedures were still a thing! It was horrible! Then I found this place because my dermatologist and psychiatrist are in the same building. And, the cafe downstairs, I have nearly become friends with the cafe lady. I am at this building a LOT, and found this dental practice. This is a great place. My two boys love it too. And my son's teeth are getting straighter with his own Invisalign too! We are doing it together! I am we aware of appointment cancellations and that it is time and possibly taking away from someone else. What you wont do is close the door and scold me for unforeseen circumstances that arose that were uncontrollable. Because at that moment, my anger was through the roof so much, o didn't feel one needle. It was very insulting and demeaning. If there were an issue, you should have called me on the phone prior. And in the email I would be more than willing to pay a missed appointment, should you guys needed to feel that time. And when I snickered, it was better for me to do that, than to walk out and cause a scene. Also I offered to pay for services not even rendered upon my yet until August, but I guess she felt that wasn't good enough. Prior to that hygienist walking I scolding me I had already spoken with the other young ladies(who were very polite and courteous). If I could rate her it would be zero. Because trust me, I don't have to travel from Maryland to Fairfax for dental work, waste my gas, use my leave, and hard earned income.
