Had a great experience! Checked in 15 minutes prior and was seen on time. Staff was very friendly and professional. Had a cleaning that was smooth and painless and had my two front teeth fixed, they where chipped. The Dentist explained everything to me and the procedure went nice and smooth. This office has caused me nothing but trouble with care, pain, billing and even charging for services that they said insurance did not cover. The root canal was billed with the wrong code as "an obstruction". Then to be fully covered my insurance needed noted from the female dentist. This never happened. It has been months now and NO help from billing no matter how many times I call! Now I have no dentist for cleaning and due to pain for weeks and a crown that didn't fit so I had to go back twice I do not recommend this place. I have been there a few years ago to remove a decayed molar and they were very professional. Today I went there because I have a terrible tooth ache. They advertise they take emergency customers but I was told they were completely booked up and got me an appointment on Monday at another location. I went through childbirth without any medication and have never had Novocain for any of my many fillings so I am not a wimp but this pain has been unbearable. My stomach hurts from all the aspirin/Tylenol I have taken. There is never an excuse for leaving someone in severe pain. A shot of Novocain in the affected tooth would have helped.,Emergency rooms have become the same where you just have to suffer and wait for hours. Don't advertise emergency services available if it's not true. read more

After years of wonderful expereinces at Gentle Dental in Redmond, I did not hesitate to transfer my care to the Everett location. The last year of service with them has been nothing short of catastrophe though. For my entire family of four -- for all of our standard cleanings, fillings, and even my own ortho appointments - over the last year- we've not had a single appointment happen without incident. I've shown up for appointments to be told they have no record of my appointment. I've been called as a no-call/ no-show for appointments I had no record of. I've been called and given 2 hours notice that my appointment had to be pushed back by 2 hours, or I could reschedule for a month later if it didn't work with my boss and work schedule. I've been called on a Wednesday to be told that the doctor would be sick on Friday, so my appointment would have to be pushed out by another month. Despite having my next series of Invisalign aligners in office, I can't have them until that doctor can see me. That means they're leaving me in an aligner designed to be worn for 10 days or so... for a period of 10 weeks. Even the LOCATION of my appointments has been moved from Everett to Marysville without notifying me. Scheduling has not been the only issue we've had, either. I've signed ortho contracts that went missing and had to be resigned. I've set up recurring monthly payments that were never filed by staff, and now have to be paper billed each month - and they're ALWAYS a month behind in billing, so my bill always appears in arrears. The orthodontist advised me to wear my aligners for 9 days before changing, and then later told me she'd never tell me that, and each aligner needed to be worn for 14 days. So now I have another 5 months worth of aligners to order to correct that. The actual medical service isn't bad - and I do feel like I got good dental care once I could actually get in there. But the book-keeping and administrative end of this office is so incredibly dysfunctional that we ultimately decided to give up and go elsewhere for care. My advice would be to just keep looking. This place is NOT worth the headache and hassle. read more

Not only is the Orthodontic department incompetent with their jobs, they have also STOLEN my money and refuse to give it back. I have been getting the run around for over months now. I wish I never went here to begin with, worse experience I have ever had and would warn new patients to stay away, tryst me. Dr Xu did not recommend required teeth cleaning or having my wisdom teeth taken out prior to starting invisalign treatment. She hardly acknowledged me when in her office (maybe it was personal) I feel highly cheated by gentle dental and want my money back for the treatment I did not start with them! read more

Been here twice. First trip was for a small cavity. After about 45 minutes they said they were closing and that if have to return in the morning to finish!!!.... Uh... Haha!! I said, "What!!? I have a tooth grinded down to nearly a nub and you want to boot me out of here!!!" I was furious and told them if they didn't finish I would report it. He finished, but a real horrible job that still needs repairing. Second trip was for my wisdom teeth (most people's nightmare). They did a good job, but literally woke me up out of dead drugged sleep to boot me out the door into my wife's vehicle. They didn't bother to let me rest and gather myself for at least 10 minutes. Insuing that, I was told we had to get some type of ice cream because that's what the dentist recommended to my wife. After doing so, I told my wife I was feeling extremely weird and that she needed to get me to an ER. Before arriving I had gone into a seizure and peed all over myself and seat. The doctor said I was over drugged and that I needed to hang out with IVs to pump some fluid into my body to keep me stable and breathing. read more

I went here a few years ago for because I was new to the area and it was convenient. The environment and people were anything but impressive. During the filling of a cavity, they showed me the hollowed out area in my tooth, mid-procedure. Now, years later, I just had to get the 2 cavities that they had filled redone because they left a bubble in BOTH fillings and there was a cavity still persisting. I am pretty good with hygiene, not perfect, but not to the point where I'm having persistent cavities. Do not go here. Find another place. read more

I never really liked going to the dentist and the older I get the more difficult it is for me! I was recently referred to Gentle Dental and have been seeing Dr. Jessica Kellogg. I just had a third crown installed with Dr. Kellogg and I am really very pleased and impressed with her work and that of her staff. There were no problems with any of the temporary crowns and the permanent crowns all fit perfectly fit perfectly the first time. I am very happy with my new crowns and all of the work I had done, she is really an artist. I was never uncomfortable I guess that's why it's called Gentle Dental! The office is modern, clean and state of the art. Also, I can't finish without saying how impressed I am with the technicians on staff, Louie and Julie are both so professional, competent, and pleasant to work with! I am happy that I was referred to Dr. Kellogg, she is one of the best dentists I've ever been to. read more

I love my general dentist and trust her immensely. After experiencing a year and-a-half of tooth and sinus problems and after talking with her and my endodontist we concluded that I needed an abscessed tooth extracted. I only came here because the fancy pants place she recommended was not in network and Gentle Dental is. And when one is talking a surgical extraction saving a few dollars is important, especially after dealing with it for more than a year. I am giving it 2 stars - one for the oral surgeon who was EXCELLENT and one for the laughing gas. read more

Don't Trust this Dental Office. I paid for a dental service in full and advance to Dr. Lee, DDS. However, he left this office and went to another location. They also changed personnel in the front. I provided proof that I had paid in full but I was told that I must pay for the same dental services again because Dr. Lee had move to another location. I would go to this Gentle Dental location if what you want in a dental office is: 1. Never seeing the same dentist twice. Who needs to establish a doctor/patient relationship? Variety IS the spice of life! 2. Random appointments scheduled that you did not make, and appointments you have made months in advance canceled without your knowledge. It's fun to rework your schedule, and it keeps your boss amused, too. 3. An overly chatty dental hygienist that asks you small talk questions while their hand or equipment is in your mouth, and actually expects you to answer. I entertain myself by pretending to answer but really I'm just mumbling like the teacher on a 'Peanuts' special. 4. Billing issues because they do treatments outside of your insurance schedule and do not ask your insurance company for an exception, even after you ask them to ask the insurer. It's a stimulating budgeting conversation to have with your spouse. 5. A UCR charge that is one of the lowest in the area. It's almost low enough - almost - to make 1-4 worth it. Almost. read more

I am only rating the oral surgeon, Dr. Gary Gill. I haven't had any experience with any of the current dentists there, since I live in Marysville. I had a little bit of an unusual case in the fact that I am an adult who still has a few baby teeth. I needed one of them pulled. My insurance was pretty maxed out and I had been advised that this tooth could be pulled without anesthesia, but he advised me against doing that, saying that baby teeth in adults were pretty rough to pull and that it could really hurt. I took his suggestion and paid for the anesthesia. It was a good call, because it took over half an hour to carve that tooth out of my head. Afterward, I was told that it was the hardest tooth he'd ever removed in his career up to that point. Went home, had zero complications. No swelling, no pain, no nothing. He called a few hours later to make sure everything was okay. Everything healed up fine and I hope he sticks around long enough to do my other baby tooth when the time comes. read more

I had been going to this office for about two years, and was continually unhappy with them. I only went because they were nearby, and open on Saturdays. I will start by saying that you never get to see the same doctor, which really is unfortunate. Also, they told me I had a few cavities, and one of the fillings they gave me led to inflammation of my gums near one of them. Great job, doc. I also hold the argument that they lie about certain things, i.e. your needing a cavity filling when you don't really have a cavity. They did that to my friend, and wouldn't be surprised if they told me I had them and didn't. I also believe this because two of their doctors have suggested I get braces, or order a night guard for grinding issues, when they wanted to charge me well over $400. No thanks. I am also very displeased with the reception staff, particularly the Hispanic woman, who I believe is the office manager. She is consistently rude, and she makes it very clear that all she cares about is money, money, money. All that said, I would suggest looking elsewhere. The only thing they did that remotely pleased me was the cleanings by their hygienists, who are good. read more

Usually they are very good. Especially Rae and Connie. I do generally see a different dentist each time I'm there but it's fine with me. I was told after being a patient for years that I need braces. I'm young and have straight teeth so I had never been told this before. Ironically enough they just started providing orthodontics so who knows. I just found it odd. They even said my 4 year old may need them and I have no idea how that assumption could be made since he has all baby teeth now. Either way they have always been prompt and decent. If I could give 10 Stars I would. I came in to gentle denist with an abscess tooth and in extreme pain. With no appt they worked me in. Having no dental insurance they did everything in their power to help me. They care about the patient not the dollars. I'm afraid of the denist and my teeth have suffered from it. My boyfriend was getting surgery done and so I called ahead to see if they could answer a couple questions of mine. Kay or whatever the fuck her name is was such a fuckin bitch. She was extremely rude and displayed poor customer service the whole phone call. Like if you can't be polite to people why the fuck are you working as front desk in a dental office. All I asked was if she could explain the procedure to me. I work in a medical clinic and i have never seen anybody treated like that at my work. The waiting times are absolutely ridiculous, and the front desk staff are sarcastic as hell and display poor customer service. I had a good experience with Gentle Dental Everett Office for more than 10 years. Therefore it pains me to write a bad review about them but it seems that nobody can one issue. Their text notification system sucks. I am not getting my appointment reminders and they cannot separate my husband's and my reminders since we are both on the same account, so we never know whose appointment we are reminded of. They blame it all on their vendor but I am told they called the vendor multiple times before they found that somehow I was marked as opted out but they cannot restore me because GD is not allowed to do this for me even after I asked them myltiple times by phone and in person. The receptionist tells me that multiple people have the same problem but corporate is not listening. So I am going to post a poor review here to have them listen to us. read more

From Ray, who was helpful in working with my schedule making my appointments , to the dentists, Dr. Wagar and Dr. Park, to the Insurance gal who got my insurance company to pay for a crown that they first said they would not cover and then they paid for it! I saw Dr. Goldwire and will say that I have no problem with her directly, she was very nice. Although there was a fracture on one of my teeth that she didn't see that my new dentist saw right away. But I guess that happens. The main problem I had was with the office staff and the office itself. The office was very subpar and dull, and it's in a strip mall. The lady at the front desk was incredibly phony and those kind of people really get under my skin. What I found really funny is how pushy they were with wanting payment right up front as soon as something was done. They're going to get 80% from my insurance and yet they can't bill me for the 20% portion? It was insulting; they acted as if they didn't receive my portion from me right then and there that they never would. I went for a wisdom tooth exctraction that they said they could perform, After what seemed like a very long time of aggressive pulling and chipping, I was informed that they did not know how to get the rest of my tooth out. In mid exctraction I was told to go accross town to ANOTHER oral surgeon so THEY could complete what Gental Dental started and was unable to finish. They informed me I would not be charged, they are billing me for 265 dollars for an uncompleted job and my pain and suffering of having to transport to another clinic mid surgery and have more xrays with my mouth packed full of gauze, etc... and wait in the waiting room at the new place just so they could clean up gental dentals mess!! I wasn't impressed with the way things went through the whole appointment starting with the person who answered the phone. It didn't get better when I went in. Dr. Wagar removed two teeth for me and when he gave the anesthetic I was shocked that I wasn't jumping out of the chair because it always hurts. His down to earth manor is comforting. Today I created this account so I could write a review on Gentle Dental of Everett. I came in sometime last week with my girlfriend. Being a full time college student, my time is essential and who wants to spend all day in a health office?? Aha my girlfriend was swollen and in pain. We had recently visited another office and were forced to come here because of the wait. When were greeted with delight we immediately felt at ease. Our stress was at ease because they were able to work her in pronto! The doctor was able to fix her tooth and get my girlfriend on the tooth fairy's good side. All in all, after the failed attempts in previous offices, a lot of pain for her....(and me ;) aha we were delighted to receive such prompt and friendly service.
